Seriously... Randal Paul's bigoted statement on Syria.

I would ASSUME R.Paul votes against any authorization then - rather the continual parsing of this. Really the importance here. ( IMHO)

I think the Islamic rebels winning is a bad idea for the Christians. All of a sudden we'll have another Islamic state where Christians are persecuted," said Rand

Even though Syrian President Bashir Al-Assad is still in power, Syrian Christians have already been subjected to attacks by rebels in the country.
On June 27, a suicide bombing by Islamist rebels in the Christian neighborhood of Damascus killed four people. In July, an Italian priest, who had spent most of his life in Damascus, disappeared. Currently, Al Qaeda-affiliated rebels are suspected in his killing

can't read this any other way then the Coptic churchs in Eqypt

I'm bothered by anyone killing anyone... and I'm glad Rand Paul is against our bombing Syria.. same goes for Alan Grayson.

I don't think he needs to go looking for that vote, particularly if the Dems anoint Hillary.......and it's logical he would say similar things about Egypt, since the Muslims are killing Christians there as well.....
He needs it to get the nomination not for the general.

Unrelated to our current discussion.

since my discussion was with Rana and not you, YOU are not related to the current discussion.....

Christians being killed in Egypt by the Muslim Brotherhood is certainly related to a concern that the Muslim Brotherhood in Syria may also intend to kill Christians.....

"...I just don’t want to see my kids or weapons of the United States being used to kill Christians in Syria."

Me either, but why mention the religion, would it be different if they were Jews or Buddhists? I don't want to see my kids or weapons of the United States being used to kill anyone!

Wow, unless he explains this I hope nobody but the biggest religious wack will support this crazy.

I think Rand Paul is an idiot, but he's correct in this instance. Should the rebels come to power, they will massacre Christians, and they will massacre Shia Muslims.

Even Iran's leaders think the rebels are dangerous and insane. Do you honestly believe it is a good idea to throw in our lot with them?

We are not questioning that deaths may happen. We are questioning why Rand Paul doesn't value all lives, why he seems to only value Christians.

I do not, if that's true, since when do you take Iran's side?
Here is the thing, the other side is killing suni's and will massacre them if they win, so my concern is why does Rand Paul seem to be more concerned that Christians are being massacred than he is about people of other religions who are also being massacred?
