Senate dress code

I asked a question... I'm sorry that you felt that it was not appropriate... when you were asked something similar though you replied that you would not wear a tire that was not appropriate for the occasion... and made some excuse that you were doing it so that you wouldn't embarrass your clients.... that's a complete cop out...

It was not that I don't want embarrass them, its that I do not want them to suffer ignorant prejudice. I know many ignorant people would assume a lawyer in bluejeans is not a good lawyer, they might be wrong, but the prejudice is already there. That is not a cop out. Its my job to take every legal advantage for my client.

A dress code is extra regulation and big government, if people want to take the risk of being treated poorly based on dress, that should be their right.

So you would not care if Sonia Sotomayor shows up in the SC in a bikini

I would not care if the quality of her legal analysis and writing remained at the superior standard it has been.

Id be MUCH more upset if she accepted expensive vacations from people who had issues pending before her.

I

I disagree with the notion that ones clothing should be used to judge how elite he is. Unless its a fashion show.

OK. I see your point.
Perhaps, I just like nice clothes more than you do.

Also, I imagine without knowing for sure
that I'm from a different time.

I'm comfortable with more formality because of that.

My Boomer generation is actually responsible in some ways--fucking hippies--
but my roles models weren't my contemporaries.

I like formality, my father born in 1933 in Montgomery, Alabama was very formal. Formal in a warm loving and kind way, but formal. That type of formal is very comfortable to me, but I recognize when it comes to formal dress it is a bias and some people use it as a trick to fool you.

I dress fairly formal for South Florida, but I do not believe anyone should be required to do so.

Today I am working in my office with only my employee... I have jeans and a dress shirt.

So you think Sotomayor's writing has been of superior quality? Now I really doubt you are a lawyer :rofl2:

Does Sonia Sotomayor Have the Write Stuff?

Wall Street Journal

Jun 4, 2009 — To put it bluntly, Sotomayor doesn't write very well. ..

Formal in Florida can be a bikini would it be ok with you if your employee wore a bikini to work in?

One would think a successful actively practicing lawyer would not have the time to spend on a Political forum all day.

Fake lawyer. Spends his day eating Cheetos as does Mr, Tiny Penis, Guano, Nordy, and others on multiple political forums well into the night.

I think we know which professions would be safe bets... I know you should never bet that mine isn't totally and completely legit.... you would lose so much money... or whatever the bet involved...;)

I'll admit to NEVER having been comfortable in denim jeans.
My mother observed this and bought me twills [like khakis but not always that color, often black] as my play clothes.
Now, in my dotage, I wear sweats around the house. Or just a bathrobe of which I have many.

Right off the bat, not being comfortable in jeans earns me accusations of being un-American!!!

I am not allowed to have an opinion that is different than the WSJ? Seriously, if someone in the WSJ opinion section disagrees with me, I must be wrong? No wonder you are a Trumpper, you have ZERO critical thinking skills and if its in print you seem to believe it is the gospel.

Depends on if we had clients coming in that day. She mostly works from home these days, so who knows maybe she does work in a bikini.

So you don't have an office... but if you did it would be inappropriate for her to be in a bikini to greet clients...

My father also hated jeans, he ironed them with starch and rarely wore the only pair I knew him to have.

But you think you can't be wrong. That's I love most about you narcissistic twats

I would not want her to wear a bikini in the office, but only for the same reason I wear a suit to Court. Due to the prejudice of other people.

Also, I might not get much work done because she is about 20 years younger than me and attractive.
