I think it is ironic that posters express how messed up the country is, and that it is clear if we can't communicate effectively we have no hope of creating a functional country, but most of the communication about it here is done in a confrontational way which is only intended to elicit an emotional response, a nasty argument, which ensures that no effective communication takes place, which ensures that our country continues to be totally messed up.

It is illogical.

A couple of thoughts: Justice Thomas shouldn't be involved in politics, even his wife's. Justice Thomas can't be impeached because his wife is a RWNJ and treason supporter.

I tried kindness for years

It did not work


They were in fact as cruel as hell to me


When gabby giffords was shot in the head I did an experiment ( I was at a different site)

I had left here thinking “well maybe it’s just the people here”

I made a thread called “the civility experiment”


I vowed for a year not to insult anyone


I answered people without insult for an entire year


The vitriol towards me was amplified not reduced

I stood tuff NO MATTER WHAT THEY SAID TO ME


When the year ended I started a thread called something like all insults all the time

I would answer Any post and then insult them


It’s how I learned to creative insult so well


My civility made no difference to them
