i dont think they are related. I think there are different factions among conservatives. You have the business oriented capitalists that may or may not care that much about social issues and just want their money untouched, you have the libertarianish wing that just wants small government all around, and then you have the religious douchebags that want to put women in their place, and don't want people having sex unless it's for procreation. Sometimes these factions goals overlap, and sometimes they don't.

Demanding dues be paid by those that don't want to be a member of a union, I do not support. Unions strong arm people into doing things they dont want. That is not freedom, that is coercion.

Nah. Don't think so. All of the right wing anti-union thugs are doing the same thing...save Christie because he's in Jersey. I wonder what he'll do about that when he seeks higher office and has to win a republican primary. He hasn't tortured nor even systemically shamed any women, and that's going to be a problem for him.

is this thing wide spread? I am not being facetious. But I didn't think this was being done by many republicans. Only in a few states.

they cant work where the union has improved their income and benefits without paying to support the Union that maintains and protects those things when everyone else is paying for it.
