This was supposedly changed by the government because of a myth that students would go to college get an education in say, law, then use their knowledge to declare bankruptcy and get out of the massive loan debt, that sort of thing. I think allowing for some discharge of student loans would be quite reasonable.

Sure, the government eats that since they are generally the guarantor of those loans, but that's far better than a unilateral just writing them off even when many of these loans are being paid on regularly.

My Grand Daughter is a beautiful and talented young lady! She is an accomplished guitar player (FAMILY TRADITION- all 7 of my Grand Children play guitar or something) A cowgirl who owns her own horse (another Family Tradition), now working in the Network Engineering field and is just a few weeks away from acquiring her Cisco Certification (You GUESSED IT- ANOTHER FAMILY TRADITION NOW), drives a Silverado that she bought all on her very own (GRAND DAD IS JEALOUS), and is looking at purchasing a loft in Downtown Dallas- and still in school- that the company she works for is now paying for even though she is still having to pay off her old STUDENT LOAN ALL AT THE SAME TIME. She's only 23 YO! Single- No kids- and her boyfriend is in a high-tech field as well.

No she is not your average girl!

She eventually did!

I was not a part of my Son graduating there either, but it lead him to the right jobs that led him to the best opportunities in the long run.

In the career field myself, my son, and my grand daughter are in Certifications meant more than 4 year college degrees back 20 years ago.

That is not the case today, but it should be. Academic Study is great, BUT YOU STILL HAVE TO GET YOUR CERTIFICATIONS At some point.

Now my Grand Daughter is getting them through her company she works for sending her to the proper schools! But it was her work experience and performance that gave her company the incentive to put her on a fast track to acquire her certifications and them paying for it. She is taking online Academic Courses as well as attending the technical schools now. As I said, she's just weeks away from acquiring her Certifications, but probably still a few years away from her College Degree yet!

All of the employees where she works must maintain a certain amount of hours of education every year- even the officers! EVERYONE!

Yes, he paid what was it? $75,000 back in the year 2008- What about all those years since.

And if Donald is a billionaire, don't you think he should have paid more than 75K. Heck even in my best year, little ole me paid 35K in Taxes.

Now let me say this- I think the Rich should pay the same as the poor- even Commerce- Small Mom & Pops, Corporations, and YES EVEN LLC's should only pay the same as you and I.

BUT NOT WITH THE 300 thousand pages of loopholes in the TAX CODE that now have different rules for Corps that are different than for MOM and Pop that are also different than for you and me, and different for LLC's. End those and we should all be paying the same. The Mom and Pops and you and me are all getting fucked. Meanwhile Corps and LLC's get all the breaks. Lets even the playing field and keep taxes simple. What is income is exactly that- INCOME.

Much easier to keep track of too!

These things are not Rocket science- We could keep taxes low, fair, simple, and smart if we wanted to! WE JUST HAVE TO MAKE EVERYONE PAY THEIR FAIR SHARE- say 15%.

HAHAHAHA. Did you really say that.??? People get credit card debt cancelled every day. It's a giant scam. People buy $50,000 dollars worth of expensive stuff on credit and then hide it and go thru bankruptcy to get the debt cancelled and then sell the stuff they hid.
