the water in massachusetts sucks. I only drink bottled water. yum yum. Only poor people drink tap water.
Welcome to the world of endocrine disruptors

I need to get one in Texas, I had one in Alaska for my "garden"Moi? No I can afford a reverse osmosis filter. One that I can back flush to clean and which I regularly test with a resistance meter to determine if it's bleeding through. So I can remove the metals and chlorine from my water and I don't have to worry about consuming toxic polymers and pathogens. LOL
And I wouldn't exactly site the FDA if I was you. They approved Pork Rinds and Twinkies too! LOL
We have a pretty strong nature conservation movement in WV on account of tourism. And we have our share of environmental activists as well---the latter is an ideology.
I'm an avid fisherman so I know a thing or two about WV water and fisheries. I can tell you whatever is in 90% of the water doesn't seem to bother the fish lol. Trout are an exception though; and yes, mining affects them not because of heavy metals or selenium but because of pH.
But here's the point: We don't want or need the heavy hand of the EPA to manage our water. Not that I advocate banning it but because the EPA under Obama was used as a blunt instrument against the mining industry.
Trump is putting a stop to it. As promised.
So I should be fearful of my mountain spring water that has no chemical plants around? Okey dokey pokey
Seems a bit far fetched to me, but explain
They are nice. To bad poor people like Grind can't afford one.I need to get one in Texas, I had one in Alaska for my "garden"
LOL Poor Grind is jealous cause he can't afford an R.O. filter. Probably doesn't know how to maintain one either. My people:

Tell that to the permanently brain damaged children of Flint, apologist douche nozzle
Flint, Michigan said goodbye to clean drinking water when the REPUBLICAN APPOINTEE tried to SAVE A FEW BUCKS.
Say What? You're in delusional lala land. THE PROBLEM STILL HASN'T BEEN FIXED!!!
Obviously, "ignorance is bliss" was intended for morons like you.
oh the humanity
oh the hand wringing and distress this must bring you
I constantly see lefties waxing poetic about their concern about the environment, yet I don't see them truly living their beliefs. For example, I don't see you giving up your modern conveniences to save the erf. When called on that hypocrisy they usually claim "what can I do? I am only one person". So they want everyone else to be forced against their will to live a lifestyle that lefties won't voluntarily live themselves
Some of the most vocal proponents of saving our planet like Leonardo Decraprio and Albore live lifestyles and have carbon footprints that would make most people blush. But, they are given a pass on their hypocrisy because "they care".
The great thing about your prediction is you will be dead and gone. So it won't matter.![]()
Ok. Just for you I will be fearful of my mountain spring water that has never given me problems. Happy now?
I agree that the private plane guys are ridiculous. And I'm not looking to enforce restrictions on others. Ultimately, systemic change is what is needed, no matter how much any individual conserves on their own. None of that makes a dent.
I don't think we need to get crazy with it immediately. But the oil lobby controls DC when it comes to energy. We're a pretty innovative species when big money like that gets out of the way. We could put together a 25-year plan to transition to alternatives, and do it in a way that would actually create millions of jobs and boost our economy - and not cause everyone to have to sacrifice or be held to some arbitrary emissions standard.
There is a perspective where it's nothing but win, for everyone. Getting off of foreign oil; improving national security; creating jobs; and helping save habitat and clean up the air & water. This isn't some lefty ideal. It's a way to transition that improves everyone's lives, and is (sorry for the buzzword) sustainable.
We're just headed down a shitty path right now. Waterways are getting more polluted, habitats are being lost, the oceanic food supply is probably a decade or 2 from a tipping point, air around the major cities sucks. You don't have to extrapolate it too far to guess where we might be in 50 years, or 100, or 200. It would be nice if we had some generational responsibility.
And, if you believe in all of the singularity stuff, we might just be around. Though, I suppose if that happens, we'll also come up w/ some technologies to clean things up, as well.
If we are 10 years from a tipping point your 25 year plan is kind of pointless.
PS
It isn't Big Oil that is stopping us from using alternatives. It is thermodynamics
But you and Gomer have really skeered me. I am afraid to leave my house and drink my water because of you two
You mean the entire eastern half of the U.S. are plebs?
you say plebs? I usually say proles. Damn we reached the exact same conclusion. I hadn't even seen this post before my last one. You're the best tsuke. You think just like me. You are like a Grind jr.
I thought that would go by you. Ground water conditions west of the Mississippi tend to be alkaline where as east of the Mississippi they tend to be acidic.i would imagine plenty are yes.
