Secret Benghazi report reveals Hillary's Libya war push armed al Qaeda-tied terrorists
https://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2015/feb/1/hillary-clinton-libya-war-push-armed-benghazi-rebe/

NATO allies knew of the dangerous jihadi elements operating in Benghazi before the 2011 intervention began, according to Noman Benotman, president of the British-based Quilliam Foundation, a think tank dedicated to combating Islamic extremism.

Mr. Benotman also was a leader of the Libyan Islamic Fighting Group but left the organization prior to the 2011 revolution.

“A lot of jihadists that had been locked up by the regime were released after the revolution started. They picked up many of the guns that were coming into the country and fought, but they were not fighting for democracy — they were fighting their own revolution, trying to build a state based on a vicious, violent, radical, Islamic ideology. They took advantage of the situation,” he said.

“There were pro-democracy demonstrators participating in the revolution, of course, but there was also crystal-clear evidence of jihadists and jihadist tactics in Benghazi before the NATO intervention started, so no one can say there were no jihadists there,” he said.

It wasn't Hillary's war.
It was a civil war.

Hillary guilty as she is, was merely a pawn for France.

She got played.

You really say a lot of stupid things, considering your supposed experience.

Libya has had a central bank since 1955 and they have had a gold dinar for at least 60 years. Be wary of the conspiracy theories.

Libya imports 90% of its food and that is done with electronic transfers NOT hauling bullion around.

Hillary’s team provides Clinton credit for her many actions that led to Qadhafi’s toppling in Libya including, but not limited to:
suspending the operations of the Libyan embassy in Washington; evacuating US embassy personnel in Tripoli and closing the embassy there; obtaining sanctions against Qadhafi and his family; working to suspend Libya from the Human Rights Council;appointing Special Envoy Chris Stevens to be the U.S. representative to Benghazi; engaging with UAE, Qatar, and Jordan to seek their participation in coalition operations; holding meetings with House Democrats and Senate Republicans to persuade them not to de-fund the Libya operation; and lastly, it was noted that Hillary worked to construct a $1.5 billion assets package to the National Transitional Council or NTC.

this is basically off the top of my head, with a few consultations of my notes. but it shows S'(HRC) leadership/ownership/stewardship of this country's libya policy from start to finish. let me know what you think. toria, who else might be able to add to this?

Secretary Clinton's leadership on Libya HRC has been a critical voice on Libya in administration deliberations, at NATO, and in contact group meetings — as well as the public face of the U.S. effort in Libya.
She was instrumental in securing the authorization, building the coalition, and tightening the noose around Qadhafi and his regime.

Of course it did you fucking retard.
Until very recently the petro-dollar was our greatest source of security.
With the world's acceptance of our fiat currency, we have an unlimited MasterCard, with no payback period.

Any move against our reserve currency status was a direct
threat to our entire way of life, including our military which guzzles fuel. Like a GOP Congress wastes money.

How could you possibly be unaware of this?

Please, do some research before engaging me in the future.
Too sick of yours lies and ignorance.
ROFL..

Pan African dinar was going to threaten US currency? HOW?? *Rune draws a blank*

Her conviction would be critical in persuading Mr. Obama to join allies in bombing Colonel Qaddafi’s forces.
In fact, Mr. Obama’s defense secretary, Robert M. Gates, would later say that in a “51-49” decision,
it was Mrs. Clinton’s support that put the ambivalent president over the line.

The consequences would be more far-reaching than anyone imagined,
leaving Libya a failed state and a terrorist haven, a place where the direst answers to Mrs. Clinton’s questions have come to pass.

This is the story of how a woman whose Senate vote for the Iraq war may have doomed her first presidential campaign nonetheless doubled down and pushed for military action in another Muslim country.

Yes she was a willing pawn.

It wasn't a pan African dinar you retard.

Pan Africa had nothing to do with this.

This was an organization of most Arab states and most African ones.

Do a little research before you further embarrass yourself.

So Libya would be a successful state if NATO hadn't set up the no fly zone?

The Arabs despised Gaddafi. He'd threatened to kill most of them over slights real and imagined. In the end even Mugabe and Chavez wouldn't take him in.

I'm Saudi Arabia’s bitch.

That's what happens when ya threaten the petrodollar.

He didn't.. Libya has had a gold dinar for many decades. Most every country does.. Libya imports 90% of its food and pays for it via electronic transfer.. Moving gold to pay the bills would eat you up in interest.

Gaddafi didn't threaten the petro dollar.. You are looking for reasons for the US to overthrow Gaddafi, but in fact they didn't ovethrow Gaddafi.. The Libyans hated him and wanted him gone.

you are actually going to have to compose a sentence with a subject and predicate and "this" isn't it, if you want to be coherent

So Libya would be a successful state if NATO hadn't set up the no fly zone?
the no fly and the assassination of Qadafi left Libya leaderless and with no real government institutions with the exception of the NOC
Elections were useless to unify and by 2014 the "2nd civil war" broke out which led to today's
chaos, unrest and failed 2 state government.

Libyan Civil War (2014–present)
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Libyan_Civil_War_(2014–present)

In other words the vacuum of Qadafi's leadership led to militia rule ( both country/ citywide and neighborhoods) and with no real government ; Haftar and the Islamists went up against the 'transitional' government in Tripoli.

Haftar broke out Parliament, and shipped it to Tobruk/Bengazi and claimed he was the legit government.
Libya Dawn and the Islamists set up a rival governments in Tripoli -the "General National Congress". (GNC)

So if you think "what was the proximate cause of today's failed state of Libya" -
it all goes back to killing Qadafi/regime change.
NATO was responsible for that -so NATO is the proximate cause of todays' Libya
