Sarah Palin

It's really difficult to explain "good taste" to an idiot pinhead, but I shall try...

It's like that effigy of Bush you have hanging on your back porch... If Bush were lynched and hung, people would come by and see your effigy, and since you are retarded and spend most of your days with tempera paints and paper mache, your effigy is easily recognized as being Bush. Now, if enough people said something to you about it, you might start thinking... hmmm, maybe I should take this down for a while, so people don't think I was meaning something by this that I never intended... is that comprehensible to you?

You're almost getting it! Excellent! Now let's try to put this together, connect the dots, make the connection.

Just like the effigy represents a lynching the cross hairs represented a bulls-eye/target, not a surveyor's symbol.

Wasn't that easy?

As I mentioned a few moments ago in a previous post it's natural people would associate it with targets as Palin is known to be a hunter, if one can consider shooting animals from a helicopter as hunting.

Why would anyone associate surveyor's marks with Palin? Besides, considering the Russia fiasco surveying would be the last thing one would associate her with.

As for people complaining, of course, just like complaining about the NY Times error. It was obvious. Just like Palin's error.

What Russian fiasco, Bubble Boy? Do you mean, when Tina Fey did a spoof on SNL? Because the "I can see Russia from my back yard" quote, which pinheads commonly attribute to Palin, was not actually said by Sarah Palin. In her debate with Biden, a question was asked about her lack of foreign policy experience. She responded by pointing out, Russia is only 45 miles from the US in Alaska, and as the Commander in Chief of the Alaska National Guard, her responsibility for keeping track of Russian intrusions on our air space, is far greater than any other governor in America. That statement was morphed and distorted into the Tina Fey comedy line, and pinheads have since incorrectly attributed it to Palin.

As I already pointed out to another pinhead, I've read the entire biography of Palin at Wikipedia, and the word "gun" doesn't even appear. You would think, if this were the only thing associated with Palin, they would have mentioned it there. What you are now attempting to do, is infer an image of Palin that you have personally, as if it is universally understood or something. Okay, we can play that game... I think you are retarded, therefore, you must be!

Oh, I have never denied that the surveyor's marks didn't denote a target. The map was a political districts map, showing where Republicans could make inroads in taking back Congress, and Giffords district was certainly targeted for that. It wasn't "cross hairs" and nothing was inferred about guns or shooting targets. Do you have ANY evidence that was the case? If so, let's have it! If not, shut the fuck up and go away! Unless you think we need to close all Target stores nationwide and ban ALL video games that use 'targets' or 'cross hairs' as well as every geological map which uses a symbol that reminds you of a 'cross hair!'

I'm calling you a liar... not just a regular liar, but a despicable and reprehensible liar.

A bullseye is the corporate logo of Target. Should we close all Target stores nationwide? I'm sure there was probably a Target near the Safeway, so it all stands to reason, using pinhead logic.

No, that's using your convoluted logic or what you try to pass off as logic. No one but you said such an absurd thing.

Me thinks you're digging a deeper hole there, young fella.

I just heard Tiger Woods saying he was AIMING for the green because that was his TARGET and hes SHOOTING for a bird....

Holy Shit....is he really gonna shoot a bird on green ?
Is that his target ? An innocent bird ?
Hes really aiming for that ?

I'm fuckin' appalled....:palm:

How about you Apple The Pinhead ?

Well me thinks you need to get in line for your jello cup, Bubble Boy!

What in the living fuck is the absurdity in pointing out that a "bullseye" is the corporate logo of Target? Any sane people here who thinks that is absurd, please speak up?

Now, I think we can all reasonably assume Target Corporation is not inciting violence or suggesting people be "targeted" for assassination. But that is the presumption you are making about Palin and the use of a geological marking on a map.

Hello????? She had a TV show! Roughing it in the wild, so to say. Hunting. Conquering the elements. Did people see her surveying or hunting?

Honestly, Dix. When you think of Palin do you associate her with surveying? Do you think anyone associates her with surveying? Please think before you respond.

As for Palin's or Tina Fey's comment you just made my point, again. People associate Palin with those remarks whether it be she actually said them OR a comedian attached them to her.

As I said before try to connect the dots, make the connection. When someone mentions Palin what comes to mind? Surely something happens in that head of yours.

wtf? how am i liar dixie? by telling you that she said it was a bullseye?

i don't care about target, i'm talking about your ridiculous lie that it was a geographical symbol, horseshit....that is in direct contrast to what she said

http://twitpic.com/3ofie7/full

are you saying the above is not sarah palin?

Anyone who isn't a brain-dead idiot or living in a bubble like Apple, knows that a "bullseye" is not anything remotely close to a "cross hair" OR a "surveyor's mark!" They are distinctly different... both are round... that's about it. Should we just be safe an ban all round symbols?

OMFG.... Just BLOCKS away from the Safeway in Tucson!

Giffords, the person who was shot, commented on the inappropriateness of that symbol before she was shot.

Let's try another approach. Why would you think Palin was referring to surveying marks as opposed to cross hairs? What connection does Palin have with surveyor's marks? What connection does she have with cross hairs?

You can do this, Dix! Think for a moment.

..."WASHINGTON -- Shortly after news broke that Rep. Gabrielle Giffords (D-Ariz.) had been shot at a congressional event in her district, observers began noting that she had, during the campaign, literally been Sarah Palin's target. But a Palin aide is now explaining that it was all a misunderstanding: the infamous image was never meant to evoke guns or violence.

Palin's "Take Back the 20" campaign (the website has been taken down since the shooting) called on Americans to vote out of office Democrats from conservative districts who had voted for health care reform.

On March 23, she posted an announcement about the campaign on her Facebook page, which was accompanied by an image of her targeted districts. The districts all had crosshairs over them, which are usually associated with gun sights.

But SarahPAC staffer Rebecca Mansour, who has been tweeting in defense of her boss since the tragedy took place, is stating that the crosshairs were never intended to be gun sights.

"We never ever, ever intended it to be gun sights," she said in an interview with talk radio host Tammy Bruce Saturday. "It was simply crosshairs like you'd see on maps." Bruce suggested that they could, in fact, be seen as "surveyor's symbols." Mansour added that "it never occurred to us that anybody would consider it violent" and called any attempts to politicize the Arizona tragedy "repulsive."

The suggestion that the symbols were related to guns seemed to come, however, from Palin herself. On March 23, Palin tweeted to her supporters a note about the aforementioned Facebook message, writing, "Commonsense Conservatives & lovers of America: 'Don't Retreat, Instead - RELOAD!' Pls see my Facebook page." And as Politico's Jonathan Martin points out, in November Palin boasted about defeating 18 of the 20 members on her "bullseye" list..."

Idiot, the fucking map was not an homage to Sarah Palin and her personal interests! There is no reason whatsoever, in context of the actual map in question, for there to have been anything related to Sarah Palin's personal hobbies and interests. It was a map showing places where Republicans could make inroads in the election!

I don't care that Giffords commented on the map before the shooting, that doesn't connect the shooter to the map! So far, there has been NO CONNECTION made with this nutbag and anything remotely related to the right or the Tea Party, or Sarah Palin's map! This is all ginned up conjecture and bullshit from the liberal left, and if Yurt wants to suckle up to the ass of Liberals here, that's entirely up to him, most of us are not idiots.

you said it was the same as a surveyor's mark, it is not. that is a lie.

Yurt, I posted the links to the US Geological Society's Official Guide to their approved symbols, which includes the symbol Palin's map used. It is commonly known as a "surveyor's mark" and is used on all kinds of maps. Now, I am sorry that the people who decide what symbols to use on maps, chose something that reminds you of a cross hair, and I am really sorry that a cross hair is not a bullseye, but I just can't refuse to acknowledge facts so that I can appease liberals. I know you get your rocks off appeasing liberals, and that's fine, Yurt... but don't expect me to join you, and don't expect to get any accolades for your support of this mindless stupidity.

really dixie...really

i already explained to you how they are NOT the same symbol. the surveyor's mark circle covers the entire cross, in that the + symbol is inside the circle.....palin's map has the + symbol going outside the circle....

if you put that mark on a surveyor's map, it would not be an accepted mark

but go ahead and rant about how i want to appease liberals by calling your bullshit out

The point is, who cares.....the map had nothing to do with the shooting in any capacity...nothing, nada, zip......get over it already.
