Rudy is So Positive (for COVID)

Lots of darkness in this thread. Be careful,...karma is a bitch and some of you are old as fuck.

Not karma, it's payback for what you scum did by electing Trump, a total loser, traitor criminal fraud coward liar conman.
He made you people even stupider with his misinformation campaign. Don't fucking do that again. :nono:

Not me, but my family, both my wife's and mine, live scattered across suburbia and rural areas. Most are moderately liberal with the exception being my Army brother and myself. All have accepted the common sense strategem of avoiding infection by COVID, but that's not a guarantee. Just a protective layer like body armor.

Even so, we do have a handful of family members at risk due to illness and/or age. I'm not counting my 63 year old wife or myself.

Hope you all continue to stay well. I know over a dozen people so far who have had it, and two who have passed. One was my age, a girl I went to h.s. with. The other was a 50-year-old man. My youngest daughter knew a guy in his 20s who recently passed from the virus. Of the survivors, I know two who still have lingering health issues months later.

I'm sure you've also noticed that one of the many denier memes they're promoting now is that it's "not fair" to count a death from the virus as a death from the virus if the deceased person had an underlying condition. According to this bizarre reasoning, the cause of death should be the underlying condition and not the virus that just took advantage of it.

IOW if I get the virus and die, it's the fault of the gout that occasionally comes to visit, not COVID.

Yes. The idiots have been doing that for months now. Among the first was Comrade Janitor's infamous "61" thread:
Death by Corona numbers explode to 61

and other similar threads like this: https://www.justplainpolitics.com/s...rassing-statistics-for-a-supposed-Super-Virus

50k cases.

3[!] hospitalizations

0 deaths

Trump is spot on.

Notice how Darth stopped claiming to be a "healthcare worker".

That's an old yarn, tease out the numbers for politics. If the attending doctor says the COD is covid, who the fuck is anyone else to say otherwise? A trumpling in distress? LMFAO

And everyone over 50 has some underlying condition, whether we know it or not. Atherosclerosis is detected at early teens. Sure death is a process,
but changing the definitions to suit Trump was reprehensible disinformation. And no I am not surprised.

Same to you and yours.

I see that knucklehead Darth is still spouting the nonsense about how the PCR tests are absolutely, positively, totally unreliable. He's still clinging to his "only 61 dead" idiocy.

If we can somehow control the virus so that it kills mostly the covid deniers before going away, that would be great.
We have a huge faction in this country that actually thinks that being anti-fascist is a bad thing.
We have tens of millions of Americans who can't recognize right on the face of it that Donald Pigfucker Trump is a walking, talking disease.

In short, our biggest infection, much worse than covid, is trumpanzees.
If covid could only help us out with that problem while the intelligent Americans protect themselves,
history may look at it in an unexpected light.

Then he's exhibiting signs of denial. A common survival trait in people, especially if they fear death.

Ah, and there's another RWNJ denier meme: We're all going to die of something so why not just pretend this isn't happening and go about our daily lives as usual. These dickheads seem totally oblivious to the fact that *they* might not die -- but they could very well pass it on to someone else who does, who didn't want to die just then.

Sorry that you have to be concerned... especially for your mom. How is she doing?

Aren't we all concerned, at least a little? It's getting to the point nearly everyone knows someone who's had it. One of the guys I go to car shows with had it in Jan, before they knew what it was here.

She's doing pretty well, thank you, but gets depressed sometimes. She doesn't like being locked up in her apartment. She gets out for groceries, but doesn't get out for much else. I try to keep her cheered up.

England is taking the vax this week. In a few months we can have an intelligent discussion about herd immunity.
Sadly, the right wing lunkheads will use the vax as an excuse to have maskless sneezing fits in grocery stores,
party college toga parties etc and ruin the whole thing.

Succinctly "what are we living for anyway" LOL Calls to my old mind a cigarette commercial "I'd rather fight than quit."
Then there were the hard liquor commercials with the death wish images subliminally inserted into the ice cubes....
But I digress.

Perhaps they envy the dead? Are their lives that miserable at the subconscious level?

Agreed, but that's part of denial, especially repressing their fear of death. How could they accept that others will die if they can't accept that the danger is real?

You're a good son. I can understand how she feels. Even though I have a companion (Mr. Owl) and plenty of entertainment, plus we can go outdoors whenever we like, not being able to hang out with other people, go to school in person, go out to eat in a restaurant, go to a movie, etc. is depressing. Add to that not being able to see the kids/g-kids except via Zoom. Can you at least go visit with her?
