Rudy is So Positive (for COVID)

Succinctly "what are we living for anyway" LOL Calls to my old mind a cigarette commercial "I'd rather fight than quit."
Then there were the hard liquor commercials with the death wish images subliminally inserted into the ice cubes....
But I digress.

Perhaps they envy the dead? Are their lives that miserable at the subconscious level?

According to many of them, yes -- their lives are miserable and unfulfilled because they have to wear masks and can't go drink in a bar for hours.

You're a good son. I can understand how she feels. Even though I have a companion (Mr. Owl) and plenty of entertainment, plus we can go outdoors whenever we like, not being able to hang out with other people, go to school in person, go out to eat in a restaurant, go to a movie, etc. is depressing. Add to that not being able to see the kids/g-kids except via Zoom. Can you at least go visit with her?

I go out, but just not around a lot of people. My pool league has been cancelled since spring, so I'm not around those friends. I go to the gun range and went to car shows, but most shows were cancelled this summer. I really don't care how or who gets it done, I just hope our livelihood and economy gets back ASAP.
I don't visit her as much as I'd like. We aren't having our family Christmas dinner this year, that has her down. The GF and I aren't going anywhere either. We're staying home, she's cooking a small ham dinner and I'm taking some down to my mother. This has been one screwed up year!

When I was a young man, the beverages in presently shut down enterprises were mothers milk to me.
I lived on Jack Daniel's and Camel cigarettes in between gouging on Chinese food rich in essential nutrients like MSG and cholesterol.
Prior to being drafted after college graduation, I lived like a spoiled twenty-something lives.
If I didn't box and get my nose crunched occasionally, I'd have had no discipline at all.

That's OK before one willfully takes on adult responsibilities. It's part of growing up if you're privileged enough to grow up the easy way.

But if there were a raging pandemic and I had to stay out of bars to have a fighting chance of reaching actual adulthood,
I'm pretty sure that I'd be smart enough to do it.

Is it possible that there were fewer exceedingly stupid people in the sixties?

I know it. (((hugs)))

I don't know about that, but I'm quite sure that we weren't as selfish as some of the current crop. Generally at that age you still believe you're immortal. Most of us realize though that older people are not. I don't understand how you could risk someone else's life just for your own selfish desires. Who wants to carry that guilt with them the rest of their life?

You're not smart enough to figure out you've been duped. Someone as easily controlled as you idiots running around like it's Halloween every day have proven how easily controlled you really are.

I was blessed to have parents who let me be young and a little bit foolish without letting me be free of accountability, Owl.
That's how we raised our two kids as well.
It's not that goddamned hard, but today, I just don't know.

Your parents were cursed by having you as their child.

If you raised your kids to believe in the same type bullshit you support, you should be arrested.

The vaccine is just weeks away! Once you are vaccinated- you are good to go!

So, I think we all just have to look forward- now that we have something to look forward to- and not look back.

So far, I am lucky! If I had the virus, I wouldn't even know now, as I never had any symptoms. And, hopefully no one I know died from it, and I hope I don't find out that anyone I knew did.

I am just trying to be patient, staying out of harms way, and using all this spare time to play guitar and perfect my craft.

That's true, kinda doubt the shithead himself ever had it. But we can hope Rudy's got it, sure hope he suffers, he deserves it.

My, My...what a nasty little Snoopy Dog you are ! The real Snoopy was super nice, but I guess you're a Democrat imposter Snoopy Dog and that's why you're such a horrible, little bitch. Right?

Nope. Never had a DUI or related accident. What makes you ask that?

Your posts. How many times do I need to keep posting that?

Why didn't you backup your claim about being closer to death, RB? Or the first one on why you don't care about any friends or family dying of COVID?
Denial of what? Now you think you know I fear death? I'd be willing to bet I've been closer to death than you.

...it just never ends...

...they win and they still can't STFU :palm:

This is why I neglect replying to most of your stupid accusations. You think you know more about me than I do. You are a piss poor judge of character, not to mention a number of other things. Now, kindly FUCK OFF!

Yet you keep replying. Why? BTW, son, me asking you to back up a claim is not an accusation, stupid or otherwise.

Nice rant, still no comment about why you'd bet you've been closer to death than me. You claimed it wasn't a DUI accident than ran from your own post. Why?
