The point is that the several states can treat this matter as they see fit based on the will of the people who live there. There is nothing in the Constitution that gives the federal government any authority.

Good points, but as you point out, Democrats can't get out of their own way. And they suck at marketing. Defund the police? What a horrible message. And they went way too far with the whole woke thing. They need to get better. Unfortunately, I think it's too late.

INCLUDING regulations against unusual and dangerous weapons. The assault rifle ban was Constitutional. There was no disagreement on that.

Either I'm not following you or maybe we're having two different discussions. The constitutionality of R v W has nothing to do with the political parties or Congress. The Yale Law professor did an excellent job of going into the history of the Constitution and the ruling in arguing his position.

As far as Congress there is clearly lots of polarization but that doesn't mean it can't change. I stated it would be difficult but not necessarily impossible that Congress could come up with some type of legislation. Not likely but possible.
