The man charged with illegally entering Speaker Nancy Pelosi's (D-Calif.) office and stealing items including mail during the Jan. 6 assault on the Capitol disrupted a court hearing on Thursday while yelling that his continued detention was unfair.

The New York Times reported that 60-year-old Richard Barnett began yelling during a virtual hearing on his case Thursday morning that it was not "fair" that he remained in custody while some others accused of participating in the riot have been released ahead of their trials. The Arkansas resident's attorneys have reportedly attempted to secure his bonded release with no success thus far.

Maybe his mother should have explained to him that sometimes it is just best to Shut The Hell Up. Personally I hope he sits in there until trial, maybe he will get a better feel for what his "Freedums" actually mean.

Aw poor, poor snowflake.

You would think that by the time you've managed to attain the age of 60 you would have acquired some wisdom and the ability to make better life choices. I'm perpetually surprised when I see an older person on the news arrested for stupid stuff like cooking meth, robbery, drug dealing, etc.

It could be argued that they never expected to get caught doing those things.

In this instance, the moron posted the evidence all over social media.

For many they do get smarter, for others, it simply is not in their skill set and you end up with older people doing stuff they really should know better than to do. I was amazed by how many over 40s and up marched through the Capital, like they could really take on the NG or a large number of Police, good grief what did they think was going to happen.....

Yeah! I remember the photo of him smirking in the Speaker's office chair, with his feet up on the desk. WTF. It's almost as if they thought this would be a fun romp, and quickly forgiven and forgotten. Oops.

I know, right? It's almost as though they knew not to expect much in the way of opposition. From a recent CNN breaking news email a few minutes ago:

"Federal investigators are examining records of communications between members of Congress and the pro-Trump mob that attacked the US Capitol, as the investigation moves closer to exploring whether lawmakers wittingly or unwittingly helped the insurrectionists, according to a US official briefed on the matter.

"The data gathered so far includes indications of contact with lawmakers in the days around January 6, as well as communications between alleged rioters discussing their associations with members of Congress, the official said."

It is not what you did that matters in this corrupt so called justice system, it is who you are, and who wants to take you out.

he has a point......if he was a gang member in LA charged with rape he would have been released with an apology for taking up his valuable time....

I'll bet we know who's going to be named already.

They imagined that a Trump inner circle boot-licker would help them...which they kinda did...

Mike Flynn's younger brother, Charles Flynn, was involved in the process behind that delayed response.

Michael Flynn's brother was in a key Pentagon meeting during Jan. 6 Capitol siege, despite earlier denials

No two cases are the same and whining about other people getting bail is meaningless in his circumstances. He does not understand what his problem is.

Do you guys get it?

The Klan Master General here thinks a black guy would've received better treatment from the justice system.

Who wants to tell him...?
