The whole idea behind eliminating catastrophic insurance was being sure that a person or family had total insurance coverage. Otherwise you break an arm, go to the emergency room, and possibly not be able to pay for it.
if you are healthy -it's a viable alternative..i'm too old to just carry that ,but for younger peeps it works for them
