firearms have been prohibited in many areas for decades, has it EVER stopped a mass shooting..........like at a school???? maybe you should be stupiderthanall

This is the slippery slope argument, and I'm sorry but I don't buy it. Your argument is that we should not impose any restrictions because those might lead to more restrictions. But the reality is that Americans want limits on semiautomatic weapons and high capacity magazines. They want tighter background check laws. They don't want to ban handguns. You can count me among those that feel exactly that way. This isn't a partisan issue. It is a matter of public safety. The states with the strictest gun control measures have lower gun death rates than those with less strict measures. Some regulation of guns works. It's what the public wants, and I'm not prepared to argue against it because of the 'slippery slope' argument. It doesn't work with gay marriage, and it doesn't work with gun control.

He is pointing out correctly that most of the places school shootings took place already had restrictive gun laws/bans/ or "gun free zones". Which did nothing. I say with certainty Concart you are indeed the stupidest mother fucker on this board. Drama queen.

The truth is that Trump opposes Democracy, opposes freedom of speech, and supports right-wing terrorism. He also fits the 14 Points of Fascism.

Not all of them. Some of them are. Some of them are probably racists that like his policies. Some are rich guys that think he's better for them. Some are just easily swayed by a conman. I'm not sure what that has to do with my answer though. That isn't the 'party line', I'm not 'the party'. It's demonstrably true that a pretty strong majority of Americans want those measures. I suspect we'll start to see some of them instituted at a federal level, they already are being instituted in many states, and no state has attempted to take everyone's guns.

From a personal standpoint, I think hate is a wasted emotion, especially in politics. I'm a practical guy. We have to figure out how Trump held sway over such a large group of people, especially those whose interests were decidedly not served by a Trump Presidency. I don't hate them. In some cases I find them beneath contempt, but that isn't hate. If you think you're going to bait me into defending someone else's hate.... it won't work. ;)
