We're going to see an unprecedented post presidency soon. I hope Biden learned from Obama's folly, and chooses not to take the high road with trump. trump is finally going to pay for years of criminal activity.

As we speak, his CFO is in front of SDNY for yet another round of investigations. He got a free ride on the campaign finance fraud, but I'm not sure they're offering him the same deal for tax fraud and bank fraud.

It doesn’t matter whatever you call it, if the goal has anything to do with the police or altering the dynamics of so called law and order, the right is going to be against it. You could call it cookies and ice cream and the right will stand against it. These are not Norma nor reasonable people. That should be glaringly obvious by looking at what’s happening today.

You know what is more evil and damning that a label? Thelong list of people murdered by out of control cops, and perhaps if more democrats spent more time condemning the actions of out of control police officers, rather than a label, we wouldn’t have to call it anything other than democracy at work. I don’t give a rats ass about losing republican lite seats as opposed to losing the life of loved ones who are going through the same trauma that I am.

Democrats didn’t lose seats because of a label, they lost seats because they were democrats.

There is one thing about republicans that is less evident about democrats. Republicans take care of their base. Even if the face of victory, democrats are attacking their own. Progressives are far better at connecting with the youth and outreach, yet in the very moment of victory, which was not at all assured, here comes the centrists with knives out .. even knowing that a huge Senate race is just days away and knowing that the progressives they just love to hate must play a critical role if there is any chance of a democratic victory.

He didn't want a sitting POTUS to worry about future litigation when he/she is making touch legislative choices. And then we got trump.

2020 saw the election of Cori Bush, the first black woman and BLM activist elected to Congress from Missouri. Centrists played no hand in that historic success, nor the first transgender woman elected to Congress, nor the election of the first openly gay black men elected to Congress.

Also I know many African Americans and Latino Americans who very conservative. Many who would probably align conservative politically if it wasn’t for entrenched racism in the Republican Party.

The recent election data demonstrates this as more Blacks voted for Trump in 2020 than in 2016, particularly black males. Trumps support among Latinos, particularly in Southern Florida and in the border States showed even more growth.

So my point is that the Black and Latino political views are by no means monolithic and the data shows that they are becoming more diverse.

You keep saying that. I disagree. You listed the members who lost. In Fla, our sitting rep. lost to a Spanish t.v celebrity with a debate that was in Spanish. Interpreter needed. You really think she lost in Miami because of her policy positions? Do you know what they might be? Because they sure as shit ain't calling for Socialism in Miami.


If you want to illustrate the policy positions you claim cost sitting Dems their House seats, I'm happy to read them. More than likely, they were swept into Red districts in the '18 Blue wave, and the general election trump turnout swept them away.

This is true, but still overwhelmingly leaning Dem. Unfortunately, just enough Red in swing states to deliver Fla. to Republicans.

Progressives like Stacy Abrams and Keisha Lance Bottoms were far more influential to Biden winning Georgia than Nancy Pelosi and centrist democratis who had written Georgia off as unwinnable.
