The reporter said it may have effected the elections.

If it actually effected elections they were not national elections that were effected, not even state elections.
 
Like I said at first It doesnt matter to me what party they were.

The fact remains that election machinery can be used to steal elections.

That was the point of this thread.

Do you believe they can be used this way?

I agree man. One thing I can respect the R party for is that when one of them falls off the wagon, they stop, put it in reverse, and back over the guy. The D's, on the other hand, circle the wagons unless public reaction becomes overwhelmingly against the offender.

When I read the opening title I assumed this was going to be about Diebold or something. Is that what you're referring to by the use of the word "machine"?

William B. Morris, 66, and Debra L. Morris, 49, distributed funds pooled by the members of the scheme in order to buy votes. The couple owned and operated a transportation sanitation company and was active in the political affairs of Clay County.

People have been stealing elections for years regardless of what used for people to vote. As long as people vote there is the possibility for people to tamper with them. Do you disagree?

Absolutely. "Stuffing the ballot box" was historically done with paper. Its the worst political crime imaginable.

Yes. With Desh you have to understand the point in her head then you
can understand where she is trying to go with what she posts (I know this
because I obviously spend too much time here). Bush stole the elections
of 2000 and 2004 because of Diebold. Republicans, in her opinion, can almost
not actually win an election without cheating. Thus her constant attempt
to post stories that claim voting machines were manipulated or missued.
Interesting that she would post this article as it said a Democrat did it but
she because it goes to her bigger point as stated last sentence.
 
That is why Bush politicized the DOJ , so Rs would not get investigated.

This is very likey a case started by that DOJ.

It may be the ONE good thing to come out of that DOJ.

The article does not by any stretch of the imagination establish that machines were manipulated. Yes, people were indicted for the crimes, but as of today's date, they have not been convicted and as you lefties like to point out, when discussing the death penalty, even a conviction does not mean that the convicted is guilty.

How many convicted rapists have later been found to be innocent due to DNA? How many executed individuals have later been exonerated of their crimes? These indictments are not proof of machine manipulation and every time you post this kind of a title you mislead the unwary to believing that we know for sure these machines were manipulated. I'd like to think you are not doing that on purpose.

I said wait till the all the facts come out before Assuming they were ALL from one party.


These people instructed the election workers on HOW to change the votes on the machines.

Dont you guys think it would be a good idea to not use this type of equipment that CAN be manipulated.


The point of this thread is I have been telling you people for YEARS that these machines were pieces of shit designed to be manipulated.

They were desgined by right wing christians who owned the companies and promised publically to do all they could to help get Bush elected.

These same companies designed ATM machines with complete paper trails to every penny.

Why did they chose to desgin for their country voting machines that could NOT be audited?

Now realise that the entire DOJ was politized by the Bush team and that whole scandal revolves arround NOT prosicuting Rs for vote fraud and GOING after democrats for PHONEY vote fraud.

They caught a real fish it looks like to me.

How many fishes did they NOT catch on purpose.

The DOJ will soon no longer be politized and they WILL go after the REAL vote fraud out there.

Its going to be very fun to watch.

maybe they should just go back to the days where elections were done in the open with raising of hands.
 
We should go back to paper until we can desgin machines that are fully auditable and have an intity that can monitor, check and certify the machines.

No... your article said they were instructed to change votes AT the voting machines.... not 'ON' the voting machines.
