Clearly we have a dysfunctional gun culture, and laws. This is not happening in other first world countries. This is not even that common in third world countries.
What is the solution? I do not see a solution for the USA. Obviously the rest of the world has found solutions, but apparently they are not for the USA.
Americans have about the same trust in government as the French or the Spanish, and more than the Belgians. This sort of thing does not happen there.

As a bizarre side note, why on Earth would the Indians trust their government so much? I would not trust their government at all, especially if I were Indian.
Since all of these school shooters and mass murderers like Gendron have an endgame of suicide, a dysfunctional mental healthcare system seems to be the main problem.
As noted below, there are 2.5 times as many suicides as murders in the US. The Democrats only care about the gun suicides and not the ~25K Americans who kill themselves every year using neck ties, pills or other non-firearm means.
When Democrats say "Ban the carnage", it only applies to those using a firearm. No one gives a shit about the other needless deaths.

- Suicide was the tenth leading cause of death overall in the United States, claiming the lives of over 47,500 people.
[*]Suicide was the second leading cause of death among individuals between the ages of 10 and 34, and the fourth leading cause of death among individuals between the ages of 35 and 44.
[*]There were nearly two and a half times as many suicides (47,511) in the United States as there were homicides (19,141).
