You keep making this argument. Apparently you mean it, an argument that centers on the idea that residents of large cities usually elect Democratic administrations because they're not smart enough to elect Republicans.
This is the bigotry that in part motivates city voters to favor Democrats in the first place. Crime is high in cities due to social circumstances created by lack of unemployment opportunities, poor housing and other social deficits that bring them into the cities where some chance of a decent life is more available in spite of deficits. You affect a thoughtless attitude of privilege, whether in your case the privilege is real or wishful thinking,

Same name, but a different board. On this one, the moderators have a stranglehold on the board. So do the members. Instead of thread bans, you can start a tPF thread and ban anyone from the thread at any time for no reason at all.
I left and was simultaneously banned from the board on Jan 7 when I started a thread with a link to the FBI website. There were members there that were calling for armed violence since the election. After it happened, I reported one guy and encouraged the board to do the same. It didn't go over well. (more to piss him off than because I thought it would actually do anything). I believe their reason for my permaban (after I left) was because 'I brought harm to the board'.
I did hear that it was a shit show for about a week. They shut down for a bit and changed the rules to end the violent posts. Some members who were encouraged to post inflammatory nonsense before, were banned for a short time and warned about the violence.
They really shit themselves when I told staff that I would not post on a board that encouraged the Jan. 6 attack, and the FBI would be calling.
Trinnity was banned from my former forum I just got banned from DP. She was banned about the same time I joined.. then tried to come back as a sock.. the mods caught her immediately and banned her again.
I deserved to be banned. I did it on purpose. Given what you just said, you did NOT deserve to be banned for what you were doing.. that was bullshit. Sorry!

This board was heavily Right slanted. They tried to mock opposing views, but were often too stupid to realize that they should be embarrassed.
No cursing. No arguing...unless you were Right leaning. After the election, there were hundreds of posts claiming that they were organizing violence in response. Most of it was nonsense of course, but after Jan. 6, I decided to alert the FBI to those members.
It was a mutual agreement. I let mods know that I was not going to post on a board that incites violence. I put up a thread with a link to the FBI just to piss them off. It was taken down just as I contacted the staff and told them that they should be ashamed for running that board.
Evidently, the shit hit the fan and major changes were made.
Should be obvious but you take the easy way and reject it based on plain numbers. Your "And yet" works only if you dig into the numbers and show why it works, which you avoid doing, probably out of worry the explanations won't fit your bigotry. So you are forced back to your initial premise: black and other city voters are too dumb to know better.
Like me, you're better off being gone from there. At the Debate Politics board where I came from, the moderation was not unfair, as far as I could tell. The reason I had to go was me. I could not keep my shit together any longer.. I should not have ill will to the mods for their personal opinions or their character but I did. The admin, RedAskon, nice guy. But racist as shit and cowardly as shit. The thing that bothered me about him is he hid behind the "both sides" shield, while doing nothing all day but throwing darts at and ridiculing Democrats and supporting the big lie. He also was a big police racism denier.. he actually said, what happened to Floyd "had nothing to do with racism in police departments". I'm not kidding. It was then I began to lose respect for him and I actually am still sad for him. He won't face his demons and when he's called on his shit he freaks out. The site owner, Schweddy, like RedAskon is a big "big lie" believer. Schweddy keeps posting data from Qanon thinking it proves "Democrat fraud" in 2020.
So... I banned myself from there. I feel those guys need me much more than I need them.

The town, county, and obviously state governments are all heavily Republican. Anyone who questions the Republican Party will anger those three levels of government.
There is a move to register voters in Uvalde, which has the mayor terrified.

IMO, it goes to trust and most Americans don't trust Congress, especially Democrats on gun control since they've lied numerous times about it in the past.
As a response to two mass shootings, Ohio has changed their laws to allow permitless carry starting nearly immediately. I believe that goes into effect on June 13th.

Clearly we have a dysfunctional gun culture, and laws. This is not happening in other first world countries. This is not even that common in third world countries.
What is the solution? I do not see a solution for the USA. Obviously the rest of the world has found solutions, but apparently they are not for the USA.
Americans have about the same trust in government as the French or the Spanish, and more than the Belgians. This sort of thing does not happen there.
