He actually has a business that uses that truck. I'm sure the lease was fairly long term, and if Penske allows it, he'd just clean the truck and go back to work.

I could be wrong, but the way I have read the news is:
It was not an 18 wheeler. It was a UHaul type of truck. Not big enough to require a CDL. I have driven trucks like that, and I certainly do not have a CDL. I have driven both UHaul and Penske trucks at different times in my life.

They are mostly 'empty barrels'. Quite a bit of noise, and little action. They were protesting non existant mask mandates, fuel prices, and...the best one...Jan. 6 arrests.

They also knew that they weren't going to have free rein in Washington. Did you see the 'gathering' for the SOTU? There was more press than morons.

Initially I thought it was a 25'-30' box truck. I thought I saw a picture of it. In the 80s I would drive one if our company was short a driver in Vt.. Back then anyone could drive a truck up to 25,000 gvw.. Each state might be different, but I'm guessing regulations have changed since last century.

Honestly, we may never know for sure. I try to be honest when I do not know something.

More than half the alt right pictures are faked, or misleading. They have tried to pass off any collection of trucks in a picture as an alt right protest. I do not know if there is any photo from a mainstream media source of the truck in question. I was under the impression that Sandberg does not have a CDL, but I could very well be completely wrong on that.

From my understanding, the rules differ from state to state, but are basically the same in all states, and provinces, except Quebec which is slightly more limiting. You can rent a 6 wheel 26 foot truck, and drive it with just a normal drivers license.

Again, it might have been a commercial truck rental, and so a bigger CDL requiring truck.
