Damo, you are clearly the one who is mistaken here, she was obviously reading a prepared text that was sitting on the podim in front of her.
 
She DID have notes on the podium which she looked at occasionally... but she didn't "read" the speech by any stretch, she either had it memorized or she used notes and winged it for the most part....

Do you have any idea how much time it takes to memorize a speech? Do we really want our president taking that much time on that activity every time he has to make a speech? Do you really think that teleprompters are BAD things? I personally would MUCH rather have my president write a speech or approve and edit a speech someone else on his staff wrote under his direction, and then, move on to more substantive activities... and when the time came to GIVE the aforementioned speech, have the president read it off a teleprompter.

My point about Palin was not that she had notes written on her hand, but WHAT she had written. They were her core values. It was funny that she needed to write them down to remember them.

She wasn't. What you pointed out isn't a personal attack. Those who attempt to use her baby, her daughter, etc are taking part in an actual personal attack.

Now, had Sarah said it then brought up his children in some nasty fashion she'd be a hypocrite.
