Palin Lied!

It seems to be that by saying "yes" she was saying that she does support abstinance until marriage education, she went on to say that she does not support explicit sex education.

Way too logical. By saying "yes" to a very clear question, somehow, we have no idea what she was really trying to say...

Bull shit in the ONLY post that shows that what she supports she NEVER said what you are saying. She never says she supports abstinence plus which the eagle forum absolutely opposes. Their position is if you teach don't do but if you do... you are sending contradictory messages. You quote a wiki that does NOT give her direct quotes. Darla's does and it does not say she supports any teaching of birth control in case.

I have to be honest and say that I have found evidence that she has given very contradictory statements on this, and it appears to depend on whom she was talking to.

She definitely told the Eagle forum what they wanted to hear though. And that was, that "YES" I support abstinence till marriage education. SF can twist and dance all he wants - you know what they say, the last two drops still will end up in his pants.

"Palin in a July 2006 survey was asked if she supported abstinence-only sex education programs instead of "explicit sex education programs, school-based clinics and distribution of contraceptives in schools." Palin wrote, "Yes the explicit sex-ed programs will not find my support." In a radio interview in August 2006, Palin was asked whether programs that discuss condoms are included in "explicit" programs. Palin said no and called discussions of condoms "relatively benign." She added, "I'm pro-contraception and I think kids who may not hear about it at home should hear about it in other avenues. So I am not anti-contraception. But, yeah, abstinence is another alternative that should be discussed with kids. I don't have a problem with that. That doesn't scare me, so it's something I would support also.""

It's scary because I worry about SF on dates. I feel that, due to his daily displaying of an inability to understand yes and no, he should be getting any woman he has relations with to sign a "I consent" form.

His language skills are extrememly problematic.

I don't know what the difference between "abstinence only" (it's so funny because I keep having trouble spelling abstinence), and "abstinence education but not abstinence only". What does this mean? We have no way of concluding from this that birth control methods were taught, at all.

And it doesn't matter what Bristol's beliefs are, this is about education not religious beliefs. Either she was educated on birth control or she wasn't.

On the side of "she was" - we have conjecture.

On the side of "she wasn't" - we have the fact that she's a teen mother who didn't finish high school, and her baby's father has no hs degree either.
Again.

Therefore it matters what program she actually participated in.

Just because her mother believed in one thing does not mean that it happened. Even if her mother believed in the "Watch the farm animals only" education on sex it wouldn't change that at school she went through an entirely different program that may or may not have been inclusive of birth control.

Which was it? I would like to know what program "failed" her rather than assume it because her mother thought something alien to my logic sensors.

except that Jarod seemed to figure it out, yet you did not. Saying Yes, to abstinence until marriage is not the same as saying yes to abstinence only.

I provided you another direct quote from Palin since that is what you wanted.

Please, enjoy trying to spin your way out of that quote.

I found that 20 minutes ago. You are a slow googler aren't you?

Why do you believe she told the Eagle forum, a right wing religious organization who supports abstinence only one thing, and this interviewer another thing?

Because she is a lying politician?

do I win a prize?

LMAO... you are the ones that are trying to read into that quote rather than trying to find what her actual position is.

Enjoy the longer quote from Palin. It will show you just how wrong you are.

Palin was asked the question during an Eagle Forum. Do the research and find out what Eagle Forum means by Abstinence Until Marriage and that give you the context of the answer. Eagle Forum believes that teaching about contraceptives sends a contradictory message and believes in Abstinence ONLY so the context of the question in an Eagle Forum was exactly that.

It shows that she took two different positions dependent on who was asking - and it shows that there other than the fact that she is a religious right winger, we can't know what her actual position is because of those very conflicting statements.

Yes. Perhaps she got some blowback from that, because she later started tap dancing much like SF and Damo have been on this very thread.

She didn't tell them different things. She stated in your article that she supports abstinence until marriage and opposes explicit sex education. The article I posted asked her to clarify what she included in "explicit sex education"... she then clarified it. She did so because certain partisan hacks tried to read into her statements and pretend that by opposing the explicity sex education portion that meant she opposed everything but abstinence. Or that by saying she supported abstinence until marriage being taught that THAT somehow meant she opposed everything else.

So she lied to the Eagle Forum about Abstinence Until Marriage? So she is a typical politician who will say whatever she needs to to get elected.

It does not matter what Eagle forum believes. It matters what PALIN beleives it to mean. Clearly she does not think teaching kids about contraception is a part of it.

Considering her other social positions, it seems more likely that she didn't lie to them, she lied to the other interviewer.

But with a liar, who can really know for certain.

The only person that is clear to is you SF. But you always were a Palin high heel licker. :)
