"Our deficits may finally be coming home to roost"

that's not a booming economy, pretty simple dude. Certain sectors of the economy may be booming but the not the whole economy

Economic indicators from 2010 till today show it has been an advancing economy for the last eight years, not two, eight

If Obama is faulted it could be that progress was slow, but, keep in mind he was coming out of a historical recession. There has been a slight bump the last year or so, but that is due largely to the rich guy stimulus Trump passed, but it is a vanilla high, and at the costs of record deficits in the midst of a healthy economy

"With a new Congress set to take office, the most recent projections have the U.S. budget deficit reaching nearly $1 trillion in 2019, or more than double the level of 2015." "Today there really is reason to be concerned about the budget deficit. "For the first time in history, America is seeing its budget deficit rise dramatically higher during a period of peace and prosperity. While there have been even bigger deficits on occasion — measured as a share of GDP — they were always associated with a temporary situation such as war or high unemployment." "All government spending must be paid for by taxpayers, either today or in the future. The burden will fall on future generations that inherit a smaller capital stock and are faced with paying higher tax rates. Now how exactly Trump's deficit spending and tax stimulus to the rich contributing to this debt "make America great?"

Were you concerned about deficits during DEMOCRAT administrations?

Bro, take your partisan stuff somewhere else. Watermark said we had a booming economy in 2016 with 1.6% gdp growth. When has 1.6% economic growth ever been considered booming? It's been almost a decade since we've 3% GDP growth. How is that considered booming? Yes, the stock market hit record highs and we have low unemployment but the economy is still not booming.

The Democrats, Obama, was confronted with a historical recession, two wars, near ten percent unemployment, and an unpaided drug prescription plan, and he still managed to reduce discretionary speeded before he left office.

Clinton had surpluses

Got another question?

Did I ever say "booming?"

And the "stuff" isn't partisan, it is the facts, Trump inherited an economy on the rise

Yes. Is English your second language, or are you a retard?

Watermark did and that's what I responded to.

And how is going from 2.9% gdp growth to 1.6% considered a rising economy?

How is going from 2.9% to 1.6% GDP an advancing or booming economy? I said nothing about individuals or Presidents. You did. 1.6% GDP growth is not a booming economy.

A large part of the lessened GDP in 2016 was due to the Presidential election, the country experienced an election with two candidates few actually liked characterized by negative themes and bitterness, not really an uplifting environment

Really want to pinp pong economic indicators?

Just take the two Trump boasted about the first year of his tenure, the DOW and unemployment, hard to argue that both were advancing in the right direction when Trump took office.

GDP growth went from 2.9% to 1.6%. How do you define that as advancing unless advancing simply means anything positive above zero.

It is one economic indicator, by itself doesn't present a total picture, the labor participation rare that conservatives loved to harp on during the Obama years is the same now as it was when Trump took office, does that mean the economy hasn't advanced since then?
