Prove any business left because they got their taxes cut.
Why did Carrier and BMW leave after you cut their taxes?
You insisted that cutting their taxes would keep them here, but they didn't stay.
So either you made a false promise of your tax cut, or you're a fucking idiot.
Yes, but I'd rather see the government tighten its belt, reduce spending, reduce the waste, fraud and corruption and use the savings to fund their projects. One thing the government does best is waste money. I hope we can all agree on that. The more they tax, the more they'll waste. Increasing taxes on ANYBODY is not the answer. The real answer is the government living within its means and not spending more than it brings in. I bet you could cut the federal government in half and it would still function just as well. Americans are taxed too much. Sales tax, income tax, payroll tax, state tax, local tax, fees, licenses, real estate tax. This is why I cringe when politicians start talking about more taxes. Yeah, even billionaires. Many billionaires are extremely philanthropic.
Check this out:
"The Giving Pledge is a commitment by the world's wealthiest individuals and families to dedicate the majority of their wealth to philanthropy."
The Illuminati supports the positive efforts of this planet’s elite and the initiative of the Giving Pledge. Originally conceived by Bill and Melinda Gates and Warren Buffett, the Giving Pledge encourages those with much to consider the needs of those with less.
By taking the Giving Pledge, wealthy members of the human species promise to donate the majority of their monetary worth to charitable causes that support positive changes in the lives of those who need it.
The Giving Pledge is intended for billionaires or those who would be billionaires if not for their donations to charity. The Illuminati is not directly affiliated with this charity and cannot accept donations of any kind.

I see no reason why we can't tighten the national belt *and* raise taxes on the uber wealthy to fund the programs that make life better for all of us, not just them. It isn't just one thing or the other.
but you're all for it.
Word games and word smithing are of no consequence to me.SSA retirement is not "welfare" it's not an entitlement program
I never said they left because of the tax cut.
I said they left after the tax cut. You promised the opposite.

Like another poster, whenever I hear "government is wasteful" I immediately tune out.
As if giving the CEO of McDonald's a $30M golden parachute because he fucked a subordinate isn't wasteful spending....
What would Killary have done to keep them here? Raise taxes?
And what happens when the politicians realize that they can't fund the programs after taxing the wealthy?
And what happens when the politicians realize that they can't fund the programs after taxing the wealthy? What if it's not enough? Who do you tax then? You really think the government projections are accurate? Do you think the politicians care? All they want is to get elected or re-elected. They don't care if the programs are funded or if they work. They just want their names on it so they can put in their campaign ads: "Hey look what I did. I supported this bill that will help you. Vote for me".
Are you a democrat? Do you follow JFK's creed "Ask not what your country can do for you..."? I do. It's one of the most powerful quote a US politician has ever said imho and it's the foundation of democracy imho.
30 million? ... that would fund the US gov't for like half an hour.
Hold on...let's back up a second.
Gen X. Born in the 70's.
But they can, and both Warren and Sanders says how they can.
It's not our problem that you're too lazy to read their plans.
So Killary raising taxes won't help bring them back. Thanks for clearing that up.![]()
