Your argument is specious rubbish as both Medicare and Medicaid exist already and they didn't need the Constitution to be amended!

There are a number of things that have been implemented in our country's history that ignored the constitution that I think need to be focused on, but this topic is about the current Obamacare replacement that Trump has put out. I think the entire thing should be repealed and then start from there. If it doesn't get repealed and if the amendment process doesn't pan out then the goal should be to adjust it, trim it, and edit it to the point where it limits federal power, removes restrictions and mandates, and allows for greater competition across state lines for private companies.

I mean look how Obamacare was passed along party lines.

The Tea Party and the "establishment" Repubs are never on the same page,and they'll waste so much time
it could not make it to replacement

We are far from tired and failing as you will see once we escape the clutches of the EU. She is flat out wrong and I pointed it out to her. The Constitution didn't stand in the way of Medicare and Medicaid, so what's the difference with the ACA grandpa? She says that an amendment should be sought, well by the time that happens, if ever, another two or three decades at least will have rolled by.

You are now spending nearly 20% of GDP on healthcare, your system is hopelessly sclerotic and highly bureaucratic with huge amounts of waste. The only sensible answer is single payer or Medicare for all. I don't care to discuss it any further with you, it is just a fruitless exercise and I'm out to go drink beer in a Thai night club.
