I acknowledge that many Democrats were not going to support it, I was talking about the Republicans. Your point does not affect or change mine.

False, and I could go into it, but the President in the last debt ceiling capitulated several times, with the same refrain from the Republicans, "we will not budge on revenue", even after the President and the Democrats budged several times on spending.

Wrong... They gave him tax increases on the wealthy, he in turn wouldn't come back to the table to discuss spending reforms, which is why the sequestration occurred (you know, that thing Obama suggested and is now whining about)
 
super please explain why your party keeps voting against their own bills if Obama says he will pass them?

FALSE, they did not give tax increases... the temporary tax cuts simply ran out, that's not a tax increase.
