On Sunday, President Barack Obama rebuffed Speaker John Boehner’s (R-OH) requests to come to the table and negotiate fiscal reforms in exchange for raising the country’s borrowing authority, which is projected to expire in mid-October.
“I have been through this a couple times with Speaker Boehner,” he said in an interview on ABC’s “This Week,” declaring that while he’s willing to negotiate further deficit reduction, “What I haven’t been willing to negotiate, and I will not negotiate, is on the debt ceiling.”
This arrogance is an admission that HE, Obama, will be the one to blame for any future US economic trouble....
His goal is to drive the country further in debt and the possibility of bankrupcy.
I really like his new position on this, his earlier willingness to negotiate made him look weak and they took advantage of it.
He is growing as a president. He should never have engaged them in previous negotiation.
I apologize for asking this but I am honestly curious.
Desh, when someone posts an article from a right-leaning site or a right-leaning article you go out of your way up front to say it is not credible because the site or person is right wing. Are we now suppose to believe this article from a left-leaning site is credible?

There are people you can negotiate with and those you cant.
Some people will simply take all you give them without responding with giving anything. In that scenario only one party is trying to negotiate and to attempt negotiation with such parties comes from a place of weakness and such attempts at negotiation should not be undertaken.
It takes two willing parties to negotiate, otherwise its simply taking by one party and giving by the other.
