Not to mention, Saudi Arabia flooded the market with oil for about a year, halting U.S fracking and driving many operations under. Numbers would have been higher for U.S production, but I never complain about cheap gas/oil

That's true.. The Saudi targets were Iran and Russia.. and it appears to have worked. US domestic producers got lean and mean in response which IMO was good for them.

This is the longest video of the event I have seen thus far... I am sure if you google Rice speech and Obama you might find one that is the entire 4 hours or so. But his comments on oil were contained in the link above
