Fracking tech isn't new.. Its been around and widely used since the 1960s.

Try to remember the basics.. Oil men invest in production when the ppb is high and they can make a PROFIT.

Kind of like the economy Obama spent eight years crippling into stagnation and then tried to claim credit for the moment someone else came along and reversed his time-disproven policies (with job-creators directly citing which Trump policies caused them to start hiring en masse, and with no one able to point to a single policy of Obama's that did anything but destroy jobs).

Bush would have fixed the economy before he left office if that were possible.. After 8 years in freefall it took time to come back.

If oil goes back to $80 a barrel, Trump will blame Obama.

So after failing to comprehend the OP (rushing in to point out that oil production grew under Obama despite the opening paragraph explaining that it all happened at the state and local level--the one place Obama couldn't shut it down) and then falsely insisting that "Obama doesn't control where oil companies drill" (only to be provided with proof that he lawlessly shut it down at the federal level even when a federal judge ordered him to stop), your "counterpoint" becomes blind denial and condescension with zero facts, evidence or refutation of anything presented.

No, you don't understand how the oil industry works. Oil production on private and state lands grew. Federal production went down due to Obama doing all that he could to hinder production.

Obama put a moratorium on drilling water over 500 feet deep and I already explained to your exactly why, you nitwit.

And the technology has advanced tremendously in the last decade...
 
Imagine being able to maintain the same level of unemployment that was present when you entered office. Imagine that. That truly takes skill. If Obama had been that skilled, we would still be at 10% unemployment. Fortunately Obama was of a different sort.

Who cares? Probably none of the wells that Trump has ignored all environmental regulations and extincted hundreds of animals to drill are even open yet.
