That ‘law’ would almost certainly get slammed by SCOTUS.

But maybe not if Democrats pack the court. That’s exactly the sort of thing that was at stake in the election and IS still at stake in GA.

Yeah, show us now where that, which is but a paragraph of the bill, implies that people with Covid are going to be incarcerated, which you yourself later added, regardless of their Constitutional rights

Doubtful, it is only an addendum, an update to cover Covid, not an original bill, but an extension to an existing law passed during the Ebola scare

I posted a verbatim quote from the NY Senate text of the proposed bill. If you can't figure out that people with COVID are included in "contact or carrier, or suspected case, contact or carrier of a contagious disease that, in the opinion of the governor, after consultation with the commissioner, may pose an imminent and significant threat to the public health resulting in severe morbidity or high mortality, the governor or his or her delegee, including, but not limited to the commissioner or the heads of local health departments, may order the removal and/or detention" means what it says, you deserve the accolades that Sailor has accorded to.
