No way would I whine back at someone and get all mystical, religious, metaphysical, philosophical and call a poster
names for such stuff. That can be saved for more important true issue differences. That's why I usually just say
"Get over it". Most of the left just keep nagging, moaning and kvetching over simple superficial pot shots. :cool:

Thanks, and I'm trying to convince everyone...although I confess I'm not always the best example. I'll keep working on it. That said, there are those on both sides who constantly take cheap shots and then there those who set a better example.

I view it from a Holistic perspective since all of this is related to "We, the People" and how we adapt to a continually evolving world.

Change is a pretty common fear since it's really part of the greatest fear: Fear of the Unknown. People don't know what the future brings so they are fearful of any change they see coming. Young people, being young people, are idealistic and push as hard as they can for change in anything they see as being bad. Change can be good if it's an improvement, bad if it makes things worse. That's part of the problem.

Politically, if a group wants to enhance rights, I'm all for it, but if they seek to deprive rights, then they are at odds with the concept laid out in the Declaration of Independence:

We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.--That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, --That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness.

Anyone who seeks to betray or weaken the concepts laid out in that paragraph is an enemy of "We, the People" and should be treated accordingly.

My guess is that to her, the only "real" Xtians are those who belong to whichever cult she does. Remember when Romney ran? Apparently Mormons aren't considered "real" either.

The argument about rights and depriving others of them is at the heart of things like the BLM movement, #MeToo, #TakeAKnee, and the pussies who prance around in camo with military weapons and gear. It's also the argument used by the anti-maskers, Xtians who want the right to refuse service to ppl they disagree with (thus depriving *them* of the right to engage in commerce), landlords who don't want to rent to unmarried couples, interracial couples, gay couples, couples with children, and so on.

How do you protect the rights of everyone in these issues?

Agreed. Now, how do we stop the violence? There are lots of choices. The far Right wants to machine gun them all down. The far Left wants to burn every city in the country. Most Americans simply want their governments to do their fucking jobs. If there is dissention, then it needs to be addressed. If a city, county or state wants something, then it needs to pay for it. If it can' pay for it, they shouldn't spend the money. Cutting taxes and spending the money anyway is as stupid as increasing taxes to the point no one has anymore money than anyone else. This leads to collapse.
