I've flown up there quite a bit around Sawyer and Marquette. Mostly Northern Michigan Grand Rapids and Traverse City. Gorgeous country.
I mostly flew around the Southern US for both my military and civilian careers but did spend year based in Chicago....which was more than enough. I was sent up there late November 2002. My first night landing at Sawyer International AKA Sawyer AFB. Typical low ceilings and I popped out of a 1000' overcast on approach to the runway. I saw the runway lights but everything was blanketed in snow. It was impossible to see the runway and could only aim for between the runway lights and hope it was solid underneath. It was.

Only the very brave pilot aircraft up here in winter... or fly inside them.

A properly equipped aircraft is safe to fly in winter, but care must be taken. It's a really bad feeling to touch down on the runway doing 130+ knots only to find braking action is poor. A 130 knots is over 13,000' feet per minute and most runways are only about 10,000 feet long. It's important to stick it on the runway as soon as over the threshold and apply maximum reverse thrust until the brakes can become effective.

It's an oxymoron for there to be a Christian who hates anyone or demeans them. Such a person may falsely claim to be a Christian such as Trump, but their actions speak louder than words.
