NFL Players Kneel, Raise Fists During National Anthem in Preseason Games

People talk about TDS, but if seeing a player kneel in peaceful protest ruins a game for you and sends you off the edge, you may wanna look in the mirror.

In a nutshell, unequal treatment under the law. It's been spoken about and written about extensively.

Not sure how you can partake in this discussion if you don't even know the basics of it.
Have you ever wondered about exactly what Kaepernick thought would happen re: unequal tea tent under the law when he began sitting/kneeling during the anthem? He gave a reason for doing it, yet he never expressed what he hoped the protest would actually accomplish and how that would happen... (the pig socks didn't help his cause, btw)
I doubt he though he would lose his job....

Can you cite some examples of this "unequal treatment under the law" without Googling it, Lord Littlethinger?

I'll understand if you can't.

If I had to guess, I'd say he wanted to bring attention to it & get more people talking about it.

You do realize that blacks commit over 50 %of all murders and most of the crime based on population %...

4 or 5 blacks riding around Chicago need to be pulled over based on the number of shootings blacks commit in the city...blacks commit over 90% of the murders in Chicago

given that there's conflicting information and recent FBI statistics show otherwise you're just pushing a racist agenda

Part of the problem is their issue aren’t well thought-out or enunciated.

Using the NFL game as a platform is to ‘call attention to X’ is kind of lazy, if you think about. It would be much more effective to research the problem, gather statistics to bolster your argument, then hit the talk shows. I’m sure Morning Joe would gladly have a name football player on to talk about it.

And would all of America be talking about it after that airing of Morning Joe?

Minorities aren't treated the same in many areas from law enforcement, or from the justice system in general.

It cuts across racial lines.

Poor people generally, don’t fare well in the justice system.

Who gets out of the DUI? The well-heeled minority or the poor white dude who gets a public defender?

So, you don't there is any discrimination based on race or ethnicity? You think it's a non-issue?

Do you think people in those communities are fabricating the problem, and lying about it?

No one cares that you are laughing. You sound like a crazy person. Probably suffering from TDS.

YOU do not speak for everyone...and I doubt you speak for most.

Nothing crazy about posting a comment that most people won't give a shit whether you watch the NFL games or not.

Anyway...what I am not suffering from is: My Dear Leader syndrome...that has polluted the likes of you.

Hope all is well with you, Irish. I hope you recover from your illness, although it appears to be more serious than Ebola...and even harder to get under control.

That’s kind of the problem.

What do they talk about, exactly lol?

Well, as usual, you're moving the goalpost.

People keep talking about other ways they could bring attention to the issue. Had they never kneeled, and had a player gone on Morning Joe, literally no one would have talked about it.

I can't speak to how effective it has turned out in practice, but at minimum, they got MILLIONS of people to at least talk about it, and consider it. Maybe the focus isn't where they would want it to be right now, but years from now, it will probably be viewed as an important first step. It's not unlike the civil rights actions of the '60's - many times, the first protests will not have tangible, positive results. But in the end, they're steps toward the goal.

You have a bad habit of evading my questions lol.

We both know the Rich Black dude has a much better chance under or justice system than the poor Appalachian bugger.

Because, money. Money buys better legal representation. Regardless of the color of your skin.

What does that say about the justice system?
