The reason ITN didn't post the link to the CDC is because the CDC doesn't say this at all.

According to the actual CDC, not the one you made up in your head, the gun mortality rate of IL is 14.1 vs. AK where it is 23.5.

So you lied.

Most Americans on either side of the political divide don't want to live in a foam covered world.

We accept some measure of risk as the price of freedom.

Now I'm no libertarian, and I don't believe in freedom from social responsibility;

but the fact is that most Americans, emotionally and socially regressive as they are, can own firearms without going on a killing spree.

Should we write our laws based on the mental capacities of our least capable citizens?
