Nor do they care about gross totals, either.
All they care about is their likelihood of being a victim...and if you live in AK, you have a higher chance of being a victim than if you live in IL.
Lie.

Nothing consequential is ever going to be done about out of control gun violence in America, there are too many vested interests making tons of money off of guns who also own gutless politicians more concerned with their own personal ambitions to address the debacle.
In addition, these same interests finance a massive pseudo intellectual propaganda effort playing on reframed romantic notions of an 18th Century America that too many Americans swallow
If Sandy Hook, four and five year old kids getting slaughtered by a guy with a semiautomatic weapon, didn’t produce any change nothing ever will, the violence and death will continue to escalate until America looks like Yemen
Cop out.
No one is entitled to their opinion because entitlements are earned and opinions are not.
Yes, you are wrong.
You even said yourself "all that matters is the ONE dead relative".
Does that still matter, or do you wish to change your argument?
Don't threaten me with a good time.
Oh, and I break up posts to multiple responses for your benefit, not mine.
That way you can't whine or screech that I'm taking you out of context, and have that serve as the excuse for why you won't defend your point on any given thread.
Do you have a clue how absurd that post was? Start by defining who should be allowed to have a gun and act as police. Do they get constant training? Do we psychologically test them? Do we periodically test them?
The problem is guns and how easy it is to get them. Do you think a crazy guy with a gun is afraid of being shot? That is how many, many shootings end and many shooters seek that.
You might recall that the Brits at least tried to outlaw knives with sharp pointy ends for "SAFETY!".....if the Revolution were largely successful in outlawing guns, perhaps along the same route as Canada is using, they would keep going.
TDAK doesn't like fast cars.
Others on the forum don't like guns.
All make the wrong argument, however.
Whether these things are good to have or not is completely irrelevant to the real issue.
What's relevant is that people want them, and the law exists to give people the kind of life that they want.
America is more fucked up than most countries
because never in our history
has there been a clear majority of people
who want the same things.
We packed millions of incompatible people between two oceans and called it a country.
Nobody thought, apparently, that anything might go wrong.
Unconstitutional.
You feel competent to make that call?Incomplete argument.
You don't get to speak for the dead.
The 1st amendment only applies to the federal government. It does NOT apply to the States.
Argument from randU fallacy.
Lie. Alaska is currently 6.0 gun homicides per 100k citizens, while Illinois is currently 6.2 gun homicides per 100k citizens.

Hey twit...the numbers are gun homicides per 100k. Population makes no difference.
Illinois 6.2, Alaska 6.0.

I used to think that way but the problem is not the guns, it is that this society is diseased and grows historically large numbers malformed people who want to hurt us. The solution is not more gun prohibitions but more guns in the hands of people who have the courage to use them against those who are trying to hurt us. When people know that they are likely to end up dead before they get very many shots in they are less likely to embark on the project, often not because they will die as a many actually want to die, but because they will not be successful.
Americans do more killing with cars than guns and it would very easy to reduce the highway homicide by 90% and SAVE MONEY in the process but you libs say forget it. That's why everyone knows your dream of banning guns has nothing to do with saving lives.
BTW - even the FBI says sandy hook was a hoax.
Nope. You are making up numbers again.
Honduras has that dubious honor, which suffers 91.6 gun homicides per 100k each year. Only 6.2 guns per 100 citizens too.
Then comes El Salvador, Jamaica, Venezuela, Belize, Quatemala, Zambia, Uganda, Malawi, ......
The States currently has 4.2 gun homicides per 100k, and 112.6 guns per 100 citizens.
