not every second of every event in the world is videos

From what I saw they were pretty closely spaced on both sides of a road.
One could easily collect them in an hour or 2. And the campus generally isn't a place where students get upset seeing American flags bagged.

So there is an explanation - given the fact he was holding the bags. etc

All we have is one lousy quality video of him with those bags. And that student "sneaking" up to him asking him what he was doing.

Fadel Alkilani, who serves as chairman of the student senate finance committee at the St Louis, Missouri university, is allegedly seen filling blue trash bags with the minature flags used as part of the 9/11: Never Forget Project memorial.



Late Saturday, Washington University officials condemned the removal of the flags but declined to say whether the student would be disciplined, according to Student Life, the university’s student newspaper.

Meanwhile, Alkilani allegedly boasted about the act on his Twitter, which has since been set to private.
