The consistent complaint you hear Buck and other Republicans say is that after so many years of investigation already they HAVE NOT YET been shown a shred of EVIDENCE OR FACTS connecting any of this to Joe Biden and they believe EVIDENCE AND FACTS are key to opening an Impeachment Inquiry. That you do not use the Inquiry to search for facts (aka "witch hunt"), but instead you use the Inquiry, once you have facts to examine.
So the question is why will the 3 GOP committees and the Weiss investigations already looking into this for 5+ years not share any of those evidence or facts with them?

The term "hide" has no business there when this is an exercise of endless investigations in search of crimes, that are not predicated by any facts or real evidence.
Is it ok for the FBI, and House to just start searching all through your life or anyone else to see if they can find any crimes? No.
Hunter Biden and the Biden family have now been subject multiple House committee investigations and the David Weiss investigation and come up with complete nothing burgers on any connection to Joe Biden. A complete zero. No evidence... not a shred of proof. And this is with Comer bragging that he has got '100% of the information and no resistance to any of the large number of subpoena's he has sent out to banks and others'.
So doing the 4th or 5th redo of the SAME investigation Benghazi style, will get only Benghazi results. yet another nothing burger.

Screeching? The Trumpys showed that subpoenas can be ignored. That was a blow against justice getting the truth out. It struck at the heart of congressional investigations.
The reds said they were going to impeach Biden if they got power. They got it and did not because many reds see they have no impeachable offenses or crimes by Biden. The Repugs have been investigating the Bidens for over a year. The right-wing gnus have said repeatedly that the Bidens are corrupt and the weak-minded rightys believed it. Yeah, Hannity and Tucker said it, so it has to be true. But impeachment requires proof not belief. They have none. So they are starting an investigation to see if they can come up with something, anything to charge Joe with.
Trump committed many crimes. That is why he was impeached. The reds are starting at zero trying to find a crime to pin on Joe.

Any crimes committed by Brandon are not impeachable offenses since no one named Brandon holds an office that is subject to impeachment.
That's the problem with an impeachment, it requires actual facts like getting the names correct.

The NORMAL way is for the FBI or some law enforcement arm to investigate, outside the public eye, and bring forth evidence or proof if they have it, and keep it quiet if they do not.
What is not normal is for the House just to announce today 'ok we are going to start investigations into these 10 congress people this week, and another 10 next week, and so on', when it IS NOT based on any evidence or proof provided thus far. As that is the definition of a witch hunt or fishing exercise.
You now have Republican after Republican saying what you are too stupid to understand. That without some facts or proof FIRST, ... any facts and proof, there should not be a fishing investigation opened and they would not vote for it.
McCarthy knows this. He knows his own caucus would refuse and shut it down and thus why he is now refusing to call the vote that just a few days ago he said was required and that he criticized Nancy Pelosi on prior.
