Truthfully? The only way I'll personally support a National legalization track is if individual people are also allowed to grow their own. I am so weary of being beholden to Corporate America for every want and need.

I think individuals will always be able to grow their own (probably); but the small dealers will probably be driven out by the tobacco companies through various rules and regulations governing commercial growing and selling of pot. Kind of like home-grown stills/bootleggers aren't allowed these days.

But I admit, that's just a theory; just seems to be the way things go. You can make beer for yourself, but it's really hard to sell it...

And I 'd be fine with that. If you don't want to invest the energy and time to grow it yourself. I haven't smoked the stuff since I was in my mid-20's, so I have no dog in this hunt....

But I do feel that individuals shouldn't have to go to a pot distributed if the want it.
 
other than the ideologically contrived intrastate commerce crap, does anyone really believe that the constitution allows the federal government to prohibit or regulate the personal growth and use of a weed????

Then stop supporting the notion that Money=Speech. The only thing you get with that line of reasoning is a Plutocracy.....because.only.the monied will have speech.

Well the only other option is to make it so NO amount of money can be spent by anyone for political campaigns. Either it's all ok or none of it is.

Or ya know, you could check out some of the OTHER proposals I've advocated, which are way better.

I'd like to see publicly funded elections. No outside money at all....from Corporations, From Unions, from special interest groups, or from lobbyists.....probably would save trillions in pandering.legislation. I also propose that no Federally Elected Official can work in the private sector for 10 years after his/her leaving office....they have too much inside information.

Well, there are differences. Sometimes subtle, sometimes not. Do you really think there is no difference between Elizabeth Warren and Scott Brown? Between McCain and Obama? Between Gov Scott Walker of Wisconsin and any Democrat there?

Then you may not be paying close enough attention.

My county went from a conservative republican to a do-nothing Tea Party republican. There IS a difference, although it's subtle. But we're worse off now than we were.
