Why was he on the FBI list? Wasn't he interviewed because he supposedly had ISIS sympathies? How many people are going out of their way to say Islam had nothing to do with this so why should he have his rights reduced because the FBI interviewed him?

He wasn't "on the FBI list".

He was investigated in the past and nothing was proved.

Where is the evidence he was gay? This seems to be the argument du jours of lefties but I have seen no proof other than he went to the gay bar in question. So I ask does entering a gay bar automatically mean someone is gay. Haven't you gone to gay bars?
 
So let's review liberal logic

1) this guy isn't an islamist and is just a gay guy
2) he should not have been allowed to own a gun

Therefore we can only conclude liberals don't want gays to own guns

It wasn't a one time deal, there has to be a way to keep monitoring people who pop up on the list more than once, especially if he keeps visiting the Daesh sites.

I was also addressing people who are on a list of suspects, like the no fly list, they can't fly, but they can buy long guns?

I also think buying a gun should be as difficult as getting an abortion in Texas! They should have a pych evaluation and have to view a film on murdered and suicide victims. They have to understand the seriousness of using or having fun someone else can use.
 
That would be a violation of the constitutional rights of the well-regulated militia.

But it'd be OK to exclude the adherents of an entire religion from the US, perform warrantless surveillance on the ones who live here, and force them to wear a badge stating their religious preference.

You 'thanked' Zappa's post yesterday that said this was a homophobic hate crime that had nothing to do with Islam. And the article said the FBI found nothing on this guy during the two times he was interviewed. So why should he have been continued to be watched if that's the belief?

We talk about wanting to close Gitmo and putting those people on trial or setting them free. I don't see a big difference here if that's the argument. What would the ACLU say about restricting constitutional rights if you don't charge people with anything?

I believe right wing anti-government extremists are also on the list, not just extremist Muslims. If I'm wrong, they should be.

And none of them should have guns.
