No liberal has ever said that reenacting the assault weapon ban would guarantee that nobody would ever die from gun violence. In fact, we can guarantee people will still die. What we state is that nobody needs an assault rifle, which belongs on the battlefield not in our elementary schools slaughtering 6 year olds, not in our churches slaughtering churchgoers, not in our movie theaters, not in our nightclubs. Making mass murder easy is the mark of a stupid and self-destructive civilization.

Reenacting the assault weapon ban will be hard. Hell it will even be hard to ban people on the terrorist watch list from buying guns (let that marinate for a while). So if something's hard it's best we give up. Best to go have a drink or take in a movie instead.

Or we can hold the American terrorist organization, the NRA, to account. We can hold every single one of their bought and paid for whores in both houses of Congress, to account. We can exact a price from those who vote against the terrorist watch list gun ban, and against the assault rifle ban. We can make it so that it's no longer worth it for them to whore themselves out to the NRA, because they will face severe election challenges when they do.

We can do that because we are the people and we vote. So vote them out. Block out the background noise of the lunatics like ILA, there aren't enough of them. And vote them out.

Don't sell the FBI short though - they were on this and they did due diligence as far as they could;

this is a classic example of why I think liberals are idiots...........you take as an example a man with half a dozen telling factors, and your conclusion is you have to deal with the one thing that is NOT a cause of the problem......
 
You know progress marches on. The ILA's of the world never thought they'd see legalized gay marriage and full LGBT civil rights in their lifetimes. That turned around fast. Eventually of course, assault rifles will be banned again. It's just a matter of how fast it can happen. As soon as the house flips it's a done deal. Gerrymandering has given these people much more power than they have earned. Fierce and unrelenting electoral pressure can make it happen faster though. Either way, assault rifles will not be legal forever. That's a fact. What once was will be again. And that is the real fear you're discerning here.
