Many American White Men Worship Guns Because of Sexual Insecurity, Entitlement, and P

The mentally disturbed aren't in the vast majority of offenders. That's an NRA, fear-based argument based on incidents like Newtown or Aurora.

No, that is a government feared based argument that has been used very effectively to stir up emotion in the public to advance an anti-gun agenda. These recent shootings are used to justify further limiting gun ownership. We laws already in force limiting the 2nd Amendment that are Unconstitutional .
This latest craze was embraced and used by Obama's admin to further its anti-gun agenda after the "Fast and Furious" scandal blew up on them.

Please. Stirring up emotion started way back in 1995, if not before, with the "jack-booted government thugs" letter. Apparently it was very effective in stirring up emotion in people like you to promote your government tyranny agenda.

The Federal government has with it's recent actions done that job . Never heard of any such letter from 1995.
Whatever its contents were do not interest me now. I'd rather base my opinion on real actions taken by Obama administration. Those are justification enough even should I ignore any previous events.

You need to get educated then. If you think this all started with Obama, you're disingenuous or willfully ignorant.

1995-05-01 04:00:00 PDT Washington -- The National Rifle Association's top official defended the inflammatory language his organization has used about federal agents, saying yesterday that references to "jack-booted government thugs" are accurate.
"Those words are not far, in fact they are a pretty close description of what's happening in the real world," NRA Executive Vice President Wayne La- Pierre said on NBC's "Meet the Press." The NRA's attack on federal agents, made in a fund-raising letter, has been cited as an example of the kind of rhetoric that creates a climate for violent acts such as the Oklahoma City bombing. LaPierre insisted that is not the case...

The six-page NRA letter signed by LaPierre and sent earlier this month singles out lawmakers who are pressing for gun control legislation and says: "It doesn't matter to them that the semi-auto ban gives jack-booted government thugs more power to take away our constitutional rights, break in our doors, seize our guns, destroy our property, and even injure or kill us."

It goes on: "Not too long ago, it was unthinkable for federal agents wearing Nazi bucket helmets and black storm trooper uniforms to attack law-abiding citizens."

If only the NRA wasn't funnelling millions and millions to politicians perhaps it would...especially when something like 96% of Americans favor *gun safety*.
if that many people favor it against teh nearly 5 million NRA members, it shouldn't be an issue. that overwhelming number would sway politicians more than money. that's almost 100 million people vs. 5 million. so you must be lying.

would that be the same as the right wing militia thugs letters?

what else would you call heavily armed and armored, fatigue wearing, camo painted pseudo troops who shoot 13 year olds in the back as they are running away?

Ask bravo.

I don't anyone against it....limiting the power of the federal government was the point of the Constitution and one hell of an idea from the get go.

If the government ( Congress ) was not originally delegated a power, no power is implied to those rights given in the Bill of Rights.

Read it again. Real slow...and didn't you say the other day there were 2million NRA members?

You and bravs are on the same side re: gun regulations.

I don't think you know wtf you're even talking about ...... or what you're accusing me of .... nor do you have an understanding of the our rights.

Yet you have no problem with 'rights' pulled out of thin air and manufactured by the SCOTUS.....severe case of rationalization, don't you think.

Thats a pretty accurate description of whats happening now. Whats your point ?

I don't need to read it again. you seem to be under the assumption that politicians will accept money to get voted out of office. if that many people were in favor of gun regulations, it would be a slam dunk. and I am not the one that said 2 million members.

Only 96 %....I'd guess that 100% of us favor 'gun safety'......just as we all favor auto safety or food safety, etc....
