No, that is a government feared based argument that has been used very effectively to stir up emotion in the public to advance an anti-gun agenda. These recent shootings are used to justify further limiting gun ownership. We laws already in force limiting the 2nd Amendment that are Unconstitutional .
This latest craze was embraced and used by Obama's admin to further its anti-gun agenda after the "Fast and Furious" scandal blew up on them.

Please. Stirring up emotion started way back in 1995, if not before, with the "jack-booted government thugs" letter. Apparently it was very effective in stirring up emotion in people like you to promote your government tyranny agenda.

The Federal government has with it's recent actions done that job . Never heard of any such letter from 1995.
Whatever its contents were do not interest me now. I'd rather base my opinion on real actions taken by Obama administration. Those are justification enough even should I ignore any previous events.

if that many people favor it against teh nearly 5 million NRA members, it shouldn't be an issue. that overwhelming number would sway politicians more than money. that's almost 100 million people vs. 5 million. so you must be lying.

I don't anyone against it....limiting the power of the federal government was the point of the Constitution and one hell of an idea from the get go.

If the government ( Congress ) was not originally delegated a power, no power is implied to those rights given in the Bill of Rights.

I don't need to read it again. you seem to be under the assumption that politicians will accept money to get voted out of office. if that many people were in favor of gun regulations, it would be a slam dunk. and I am not the one that said 2 million members.

Only 96 %....I'd guess that 100% of us favor 'gun safety'......just as we all favor auto safety or food safety, etc....
