Keith Olbermann's Greatness

O'Reilly and Fox News has been bashing "liberal" anchors for years - Peter Jennings, Dan Rather, Phil Donahue, etc.
-----------------------------------
O'Rielly may comment on these charactors in the context of something and invites them on the show to debate...and they have all been on the show, and so have many more lefties....
thats a far cry from what Obermann is doing....

And seeing O'Rielly 5 days a week, I can't remember the last time Bill mentioned Obermann for any reason...so the night after night stuff is crap from the get go....

I'm sure alot of folks tune in just to see the particular segment....just to see how far Obermanns obsession has taken over his dull life....

I don't like either of these guys, but I would trust OReilly more in his quotes than I would Olberman who is constantly misleading and distorting the words.

Do you know why Oberman says things about Oliely?

He points out the OUT RIGHT LIES Oliely hands out like loofas on his show.

You people want lies instead of news FINE!
dont expect REAL news coverage to go along withit!

Go back and look at the studies which have been done on Faux listeners and misinformation.

They faux listeners are ALWAYS scoring high for believing OUT RIGHT falsehoods.

You see what you think is news is propaganda and it HAS BEEN PROVEN!

you just ingore that fact like so many other facts

klaatu, his comments just flew over your head then...

because his comments were VERY CLEAR, no confusion to me or desh or probably anyone else, ....but YOU or some other right winger....that has tried to change the meaning of the form of government and society we live in...

just to daraw attention away from the SUBJECT of this editorial....(shakes head)

Drawing attention away from the message is what you do when you have nothing else....

This is exactly what I thought when I read the "proof." The "misperceptions" noted in the article equaled "those who don't see things our way."

PIPA kinda bogus on it face value >An in-depth analysis of a series of polls conducted June through September found 48% incorrectly believed that evidence of links between Iraq and al Qaeda have been found, 22% that weapons of mass destruction have been found in Iraq, and 25% that world public opinion favored the US going to war with Iraq. Overall 60% had at least one of these three misperceptions

The 9/11 Commission found a connecting in Iraq and Al Qaeda. So those are correct. WMD have been found, just not that many...so they are right. Public opinion kinda hard to measure isn't it? So this is just opinion posing as fact. Sorry this so called study doesn't fly.

It goes on to say>Another key perception—one that US intelligence agencies regard as unfounded—is that Iraq was directly involved in September 11. Before the war approximately one in five believed this and 13% even said they believed that they had seen conclusive evidence of it. Polled June through September, the percentage saying that Iraq was directly involved in 9/11 continued to be in the 20-25% range, while another 33-36% said they believed that Iraq gave al-Qaeda substantial support. [Note: An August Washington Post poll found that 69% thought it was at least “somewhat likely” that Saddam Hussein was personally involved in 9/11—a different question than the PIPA/KN question that asked respondents to come to a conclusion

Not one thing about fox news, guess they forgot that huh?

they both are editorial type shows..

but exactly what News show on FOX is not....? Just wondering? Because EVERY SINGLE NEWS SHOW they have seems extremely partisn and continual Democratic bashing occurs, and it occurs as if it were fact?

From wikipedia.org

Somewhere, Keith Olbermann is sticking pins in a Bill O'Reilly voodoo doll: Fox News' ratings, TVNewser reports, are down since August of last year. Like, way down. Like down 28 percent in primetime among all viewers, down 20 percent in primetime in the "money demo" (viewers aged 25-54) and down 7 percent in daytime viewership overall. In fact, the only place Fox is up is during the day, when they managed a ratings increase of just 2 percent, and even then only in the money demo.

And lest you think this is an industry-wide trend, consider this: over the same time period, CNN and MSNBC are up. CNN's up 35 percent during the day -- 46 percent in the money demo -- and up 21 percent in primetime overall, 25 percent in the money demo. MSNBC's ratings increases aren't quite as impressive -- up 6 percent in primetime overall, 8 percent in the money demo, and up 36 percent in the money demo during the day, 26 percent overall.
