What world DO YOU LIVE IN? I have seen night after night clips of o'leily commenting on keith and encouraging his listeners to get him fired...
in addition to this Keith Olbermann has increased his listening audiance by 48% in just the last year...
although these figures are small, numbers don't lie and he has had a 48% increase in audience.... and yes, I know that FNews outdoes everybody...

O'Reilly and Fox News has been bashing "liberal" anchors for years - Peter Jennings, Dan Rather, Phil Donahue, etc.

ahhh, the partisan spin, to justify fox news bashing.
You must not watch fox news, it you think they don't bash other anchors.
I do watch Fox,that's how I know that you are accusing him of bashing when he was legitimately reporting on stories. If he,(O Reilly) does say something negative,that's because it is part of his job. He is paid to give his opinion,whereas someone on in the middle of the day,is just reporting. If OReilly does critisize,I have never seen it to be in the same fashion as Oberman. That worse,worser segment just reaks of grade school type behavior.
CNN and MSNBC reported on Rathergate as much as Fox did as well.
I have seen both Olberman and O'Reilly take pot shots at each other. It is good for both of their ratings. Olberman is funnier and O'Reilly is more believable. I keep in mind that I am watching a slanted show when I take the time to watch either one.
To clarify, when I say that O'Reilly is more "believable" I am saying that he looks, acts and talks more like a trusted news guy is expected to. It is not to say that I believe or agree with everything he says. I form that opinion by conversations at the coffee shop in the mornings.

O'Reilly is not an Anchor to be "reporting" on other "anchors" he has an Editorial show. It really gets tired to hear people say that they express their opinion in Editorial shows. Of course they do.
Olbermann also has an Editorial show. He just chooses to spend far more time talking about other Editorial shows and their people than do other people in their Editorial show.
When an Anchor becomes the news you have to expect an Editorial show to actually use it... and other Anchors to report it.

Fox News holds themselves to an entirely different standard. They make huge mistakes all the time, and don't hold themselves accountable.
How many mistakes did they make in their WMD reporting. How many times in 2003 and 2004 did they falsely claim that the WMD were "found", when in fact they hadn't?

All the networks make mistakes reporting in their tireless efforts to be the "first" to report. My point is and was that I feel Keith Oberman is just unprofessional. O Reiily has said stuff about him,but at some point,I would have come out and defended myself too. I don't agree with him all the time,but most of the time. I think he,can be rather pompas at times,but I like him.
