John Roberts calls out Trump....

Your insistence that the GOP is uniquely "wrong" in its treatment of Garland is incorrect. Republicans sat and watched Dems spew lies about Bork and Thomas, and then the racist crusade against Estrada (not that the effort against Thomas wasn't, as well). For that matter, following the Garland episode, Dems got back on track with the Kavanaugh nonsense.

My insistence that what Mitch McConnell did SUCKS like a massive black hole...

...in not incorrect.

It is correct.

But...Donald Trump has managed to damage the Republic more than Mitch McConnell could ever hope to do...so we are left where we are right now.

The truth is quite invigorating. I guess that's why you are just here trolling this thread in drudgery.

My guess is that if you start dealing with "the truth"...you will discover it is invigorating. That was a good guess on your part.

Anyway...if thinking that I am ignorant makes your world more tolerable...go for it. It costs me nothing.

In my #72, I wrote:

NO ONE HAS COME EVEN CLOSE TO WHAT MC CONNELL DID with regard to the SCOTUS...WHICH IS WHAT WE WERE TALKING ABOUT.

Not even close.

Your reply in your #73 was:

The Estrada episode was far worse.

THE ESTRADA EPISODE WAS NOT ABOUT HIS BEING NOMINATED TO THE SCOTUS. And if you want to inject speculation that it was done because of what might happen in the future....go do it in one of the threads devoted to AREA 51...or the Grassy Knoll...of Ted Cruz's father's involvement in the Kennedy assassination or whatever the hell else.

Frankie what happened to Estrada was FAR worse than anything McConnell did to your butt buddy Garland. That it wasn't for a SCOTUS seat is irrelevant. Well maybe it is only relevant to a DEMOCRAT like you who likes to play big indian little indian.

Bottom line is that SCOTUS confirmations have turned into blood sport. Your democrat party has only themselves to blame after Bork and Thomas. I wish I could say I feel sorry for you democrats, but I don't. That McCuntell is finally playing hard ball on something for a change does not make me sad in the least

That it makes you unhappy pleases me though Frankie.

Like I said...Estrada was NEVER nominated to the SCOTUS...which was what we were discussing.

That weasel Mitch McConnell is a scumbag...who managed one hell of a winning stunt. Unfortunately, everyone in America is the lesser for it.

My personal opinion is that the scum of the American right is the major player in making our nation a less reasonable one. And people like you are a major part of that problem.

Go on with your "I love America" bullshit...and continue to make America a worse place in which to live. But American ultimately will win in the contest with you cretins.

By reasonable you mean agree with you? Is that what you mean Frankie?

OK, let's be reasonable since you want to be reasonable. Let's compromise

1) You are pro abortion. I am anti abortion. Let's compromise. I will allow abortions for rape, incest and the TRUE health of the mother (which is rare) if you support opposing in every other instance. That seems reasonable to me. How about you?

2) Means test ALL welfare programs. Nobody on welfare should make more than someone who works. Period. That seems reasonable doesn't it Frankie?

I have others, but let's start here Frankie.

Like I said...Estrada was never nominated for the SCOTUS...so all your bullshit about his nomination to the SCOTUS being filibustered...is horse shit.

You know...the American conservative stuff that comes out of the ass of a well-fed horse.

You're pro-choice, albeit that YOU want the authority to select the criteria by which the choice is made for everyone else.

Savor the irony.
It's those Republicans contemptuously dismiss as "liberal" that take the conservative position here.

The liberal position is the Republican position is that we need larger more authoritarian, more dictatorial, more arbitrary government, in violation of our United States Constitution.
The conservative position, both by definition, and as in this case, is that it's none of the government's business. It's a matter for the patient and her doctor, & no government bureaucrat has any legitimate say in the matter.

btw
I've never met anyone that claims to be "pro abortion", the term you use. You invalidate your case in the first sentence of step #1 (ref: post #105).
