It's ILLEGAL to shoot GAME in several states with an ASSAULT weapon.

Anyone who needs a 30-round ammo clip to hunt deer is obviously a terrible shot, and needs to spend much time on the target shooting range before progressing to the skilled sport of hunting.

So you're a gun and hunting expert now??

Anyone who is shooting at ducks and quail with an AK-47 needs to be punched in the mouth and have their guns taken away.

^^More proof of what an epic moron you are.

ICE and the Border Patrol are the only people standing between Illegal (non-citizens) criminals, drugs, drug gangs, human traffickers and terrorists. and the American people.

You and your left wing loons want to shut down those agencies and decriminalize illegal border crossings.

Such a radical agenda does not set well with Middle America.

In other words, take a hike...you and your illegal agenda.

to own and bear arms in a well regulated militia

nice cherry picking pilgrim
District of Columbia v. Heller, 554 U.S. 570 (2008),[1] is a landmark case in which the Supreme Court of the United States held that the Second Amendment protects an individual's Right to keep and bear arms, unconnected with service in a militia, for traditionally lawful purposes, such as self-defense within the home, and that the District of Columbia's handgun ban and requirement that lawfully owned rifles and shotguns be kept "unloaded and disassembled or bound by a trigger lock" violated this guarantee. It also stated that the right to bear arms is not unlimited and that guns and gun ownership would continue to be regulated. It was the first Supreme Court case to decide whether the Second Amendment protects an individual right to keep and bear arms for self-defense or if the right was intended for state militias.[2]

There are no "cherries" in the Bill of Rights and the entirity of the US Constitution.

It's good to know that the poster, Phantasmal, has been outed as a Fascist.

Take guns from those who have more than one? Lots of luck with that one.

That's precisely what the experts from the GUN SITE said.

Who cares? There is no part of the 2nd Amendment that says it is about hunting. It's a right to own and bear arms, not a "hunting" privilege.

Then QUIT USING HUNTING as 'THE' rationale. The NRA builds it's business around it. This is just one random google search just today for the NRA. Notice how many times HUNTING is used--on the FRONT page. (Of course they are throwing in 'conservation' which my friends and FAMILY of gun enthusiasts of old were the 'original' conservationists). None owned a military assault weapon.

So if I read this correctly, a NUMBER OF STATES have outlawed the assault rifle for 'game'. Just deer, other game? Of course I guess it wouldn't do much good to shoot a duck or quail with a one these. Kinda defeats the purpose if you want a bird for dinner.

Does ANYONE else find this more than just a little bit ironic? I didn't know this till 2 minutes ago.

Save your keystrokes, yes I K N O W you can't shoot people with them anywhere! But guns are for hunting, yet someone decided THESE guns are stupid to use on game or is it just not 'fair' to shoot an animal with them?

The AR-15 is often overlooked as a firearm that can be used for hunting game of all kinds. While there are laws that prohibit hunting with an AR-15 rifle in some states, below are some details about which AR-15 rifles should be used for hunting and where you can use them to hunt.

Know Hunting Laws

First, you should know the laws for hunting deer and other game with specific types of guns and ammunition in each state so that you don’t accidentally break the law when you start hunting. It’s best to look at the states that don’t allow deer hunting with .223 diameter bullet or an AR-15 rifle.

Colorado, Connecticut, Illinois, Iowa, Massachusetts, Virginia, Ohio, New Jersey, Washington, and West Virginia require larger bullets to be used to hunt game.

It's unlawful in Ohio to hunt for anything with any type of high powered rifle. For damned good reasons too. Hell our body count during Deer season is bad enough with just Primitive Weapons! LOL It's not ironic in the least. The prohibition in our State on using high powered rifles for hunting is due to population density and safety concerns.

Does it violate the 2nd amendment? Not at all.

Those rights are enshrined in the US Constitution and its Second Amendment.

Keep your grimy, Fascist hands off our Constitution and its Second Amendment.

AND even with these?

Of course now this guy was a consummate hunter and NRA stalwart...

DUCK IT'S DICK!

The ban is on long rifles excluding shotguns and the reason is that those bullets can travel great distances and those states are not hilly enough to limit how far the bullet goes.
The 2nd is not about hunting game.

Oh Earl now you sound like those morons teabillies who were saying "Keep your socialist hands off my Medicare!".

You'd better start thinking about some real solutions to gun violence with high powered, high volume fire arms other than ignorant hillbilly rhetoric. Cause if it gets bad enough and people get sick enough of the unnecessary deaths and injuries that's exactly what will happen.

So spare us the witless Hillbilly platitudes and try coming up with some real solutions.
