COVID got the jump on us by sneaking up on us and sneakily spreading undetected before we knew it.

It took a long time for us to get effective testing, but the tests are not easy or convenient. Still it gave us a way to know something about where the virus is, and is not, short of people getting deathly ill or simply dying.

That should have been the solution.

Despite wide use of vaccines, the virus still spreads.

That brings us back to the original problem. We can't see the virus. We don't know who has it and who doesn't.

If we knew who is infected, those people could quarantine so they don't spread it to others. That would totally shut the virus down and stop the spread.

Logically, we should consider regular mandatory testing for everybody.

Effective use of testing and quarantining would absolutely end the pandemic.

Employers and businesses should require tests or proof of vaccination. Shut the Neanderthals out of public life. With luck and time, COVID will kill them all. Then the rest of us can rebuild a civilized society.
 
no, we need mandatory vaccinations, not testing........you can catch covid the minute you leave the testing station

That seems to be the route we are taking, but COVID does not kill a large enough percentage for us to expect a conclusion such as you envision any time soon.

If we want our old lives back it appears we will have to do something differently. I am thinking mandatory testing regardless of vaccination status might be the answer. I'm certainly open to hearing a better idea.

yes......there should be IQ testing before people are allowed to vote........and, presidential candidates should be tested for dementia before they can be put on the ballot.....and at least monthly after being elected......

Actually, what the whole world sees is that the Trump supporters of America are more than just fucking morons...they also are traitors to their country...and by extension, to the rest of humanity.

People on your side of the aisle, Stone, are doing more damage to America and America's standing in the world, than all of our foreign enemies combined.

We must certainly be aware, and never forget, that much of the propaganda that fuels the right, originates from Russia.

Russia delights in seeing America bitterly divided, and will never miss an opportunity to further it.

They like sending snowballs down mountains full of flakes.

It is nonsense like Politalkers post that only bolster what I have been saying about talking points only HELPING us. Most things of late trace right back to China,.... but you will NEVER hear that from the left. Instead it is the constant drone of RUSSIA RUSSIA RUSSIA when in fact we all KNOW that Russia is but a pimple on China's ass. Curious how the left seeks to blame all things on Russia yet is petrified to say a peep about China. Well,....not so curious if we are all honest. Its called being BOUGHT OFF.

The whole Russian thing was a misdirection play to keep the focus off China.

Russia isn’t exactly benign but ‘pimple on China’s ass’ is an adequate metaphor.
