I'm not surprised you support McConnell and his toadies ignoring their responsibility for advise and consent.
they exercised their responsibility by keeping Obama from fucking over the Supreme Court.....

I know you're not a con but.... cons started out by saying give him three months. Then it became six months. Then it became one year. Now you're willing to give him 2-1/2 years. This isn't a job that was supposed to provide on-the-job training for more than half of a term.
Garland was a moderate and not even progressive enough for me. However, I've enjoyed reading about how unpopular Gorsuch is with the other justices, including the conservative ones.

yes.. what was the guys name? Zarqawi I think. we killed him and Baghdadi took over if i recall.
But you know as well as I do food riots and drought conditions started the Syrian Civil war.
Yes.. the Syrian civil war was strictly the fault of the Assad regime.. and ISIS moved in .....
the question though is did Assad have authority to crack down on the demonstrations, which became quickly political- and not just about food. I say he did.
But the brutality of the response ( unlike Qadafi's non-crackdown on civilian protestors) was all out of proportion to the protests and spawned the FSA
Sotomayor is pathetic..the worst of the worse with her "wise latina" crap disguised as objective jurisprudence
Russian and Iran..help what? that subject of your statement is unclear.Hayfez was the same.. brutal.. Syria has a long history of military coups and assassinations. Assad promised reforms for 3 years before the schoolboys were arrested and tortured.. His "friends" in Iran and Russia did NOTHING to help.

It's obvious to me that strongmen are required in Libya and Syria, and even in Iraq.
Egypt to a lessor case in that there is a much better pluralistic government-but even Tunisia where the Arab Spring started is a heavy presidential government..
which is why my instincts are to stay out, given the blowback from Libya/Iraq.
Thank goodness for Sisi. he's an authoritarian too,but he was needed to keep the country from becoming
a theocracy under Morsi
you are becoming little more then a peanut gallery.Way to go unnecessarily ethnic in your criticism!
She's awesome. You're probably like Trump & just don't like smart women.
I don't know much about Idris. Since you lived there, I'll take your word on it. maybe because it was a monarchy? They could have counseled Assad.. and provided humanitarian aid.
Idris was very successful in governing Libya and he wasn't a strongman.. Assad was never a strongman..

Why did the EPA have over 1000 lawyers on the payroll, when it used the DoJ to prosecute cases. When did we have open immigration? The EPA is not extremist. the polluters are.
He just tapped a woman to head the CIA. First time for a woman to hold the position.
WOTUS was just a job creation scheme for lawyers, total overkill.I had to submit a plan to deepen an ephemeral ditch by about 4 inches in my garden. I didn't do it though. Before Trump I was subject to a stiff fine. That BS is over now.
Besides the WOTUS rule was tied up in courts even when Obama was around. Scott Pruitt saved us a lot of trouble. Too bad for the lawyers.
