What do you consider to be a real job? He worked in the business sector for a couple of years as a financial researcher and writer, was a project coordinator in NYC, became a civil rights attorney, was in the IL state senate and then ran for the US senate. I think saying he was a "disinterested" lawyer is just snark. And as far as only voting "present", that's a bald faced lie.
"Here are the facts: According to reports by both
The New York Times and
the Associated Press,
Obama voted "present" 129 times as a state senator. The AP reported that Obama said the votes represented a small portion — a little more than 3 percent — of the "roughly 4,000" votes he cast as a member of the state Senate."
Also, I'm really not sure why cons are so contemptuous of someone who worked to better his community. Obama did a great job of working on behalf of others, unlike the present WH occupant who only thinks about and works for himself. trump is so pathologically self-absorbed he's now taking credit for Conor Lamb's win.
