Again, it takes years to update a 747 for use as AF1, if there is a "deal" where he would use it during his Presidency it is never going to be met. Currently Qatar, Trump, etc. are saying that they are working government to government and that the plane would wind up with the DoD for use as AF1. The deal is for a simple purchase of the 747 and the upgrade would be made here in the US by the same company that pretty much does them all... Boeing.

This isn't a "gift to Trump", will not be used by Trump, except maybe as a display in his library when the plane retires, though I doubt that as the plane won't even have him in it during its useful years.

Yup.

The entirety of the Hunter Biden paintings and jobs scandal as cried about by magats when they could not establish any connections to Joe Biden benefitting was to say "why would they give Hunter these if not to try and influence Joe".

Now as Trump directly takes in billions of dollars thru his crypto platforms and new resorts across the ME they see no influence or bribes and it is all ok, this despite not even needing to point at all the sons graft that makes Hunters paintings and jobs look cute in comparison.

You are babbling, the deal hasn't even been completely negotiated and your last two babbling paragraphs are entirely supposition and useless to the conversation. It isn't information it is just your bias and guesswork.

At this time, two governments are talking about a plane that may in some time be used as an AF1. It is no longer talks about an air "palace" to be used by Trump and given to his library, talks are now down to them just paying for the normal 747, then the US government upgrading that to be used as an AF1. That is where the talks currently are at.

It went from over a Billion down to somewhere around 400 million for basically a blank slate 747...

This "Trump gets it in his library" is silly, if it ever winds up there it will be years down the road.

Anyway, regardless of what my opinion is on whether we should accept a plane from Qatar, we are now down to them simply paying for a plane that will be upgraded by Boeing for later use as AF1. So, the plane will spend zero time in Qatar, will not be used by Trump, and there is no deal signed that would have the plane wind up in any library. It seems that the wheels of bureaucracy are stronger than the deals of the Trump and the "gift" is much less impressive once the governments get involved.

So why accept it? How much will retrofit cost? Why retrofit it when a new AF1 is two years out? The US is making payments already.

It’s simply for the Felon’s ego and if Obama were doing the exact thing you would be screaming.

The retrofit will cost as much as any retrofit for AF1 costs.

The talks are down to them just buying the plane that will be upgraded, a plane that isn't even made yet.

Maybe he thinks that saying yes will help his current talks in Qatar, maybe they did but regardless the current plane usually used as AF1 needs to be replaced as it is aging.

The current AF1 is aging and they plan to replace it. This just begins that process.

No a normal retro fit wouldn't involve taking it apart and making sure it didn't have any spy stuff in it.

No. You are lying and factually wrong.

Until we see a change in stance THAT ^^^ is the gov't position and Trump as the head of the Military and the one who ultimately who gets to make that call, it does not matter if Damocles says 'ya but he may change his mind or accept another position LATER'.

That is the CURRENT position of accepting the Jet and the only one that matters.

If Trump got the jet today it is under that, as the SOLE position he has put out for accepting it.

So i won't say you are babbling as you are just being stupid in trying to say 'what Trump, as Commander in Chief of the Military says does not count and instead listen to what I, Damocles is telling you MIGHT change in the future'.
