‘I Voted for Barack Because He Was Black’

I don't know anything about the black experience, but I know a gazillion times more about it than you do.

Anyone who tries to compare a black guy voting for Obama because he's black to a white guy voting for Romney because he's white is seriously out of touch.

As soon as you find the article that says the white guy voted for Romney, because he's white, you might have an argument; otherwise you're just struggling for a reason.

All these people claiming black racism are at least klan lite. It's indicative of how not over racism we are. One of your great uncles or granpaws got a management job cause he married into, was born into, or went to Lilly white school to get it. One of poets great uncles or grampaw was not allowed in white restaunts, could only workin in the kitchen and knew someone who was lynched. Spare me your blacks can be racist to ya fucking morons. You are all an embarrassment to an already embarrassing white race!

the claim that blacks cannot be racist is the dumbest claim on the planet.

It appears that if the Republican Party would have a Black women run for President or to fill the VP slot, that the Left would have to vote to make sure she reached office; or else they would all be racist and sexist. :good4u:

i don't even think poet believes blacks cannot be racist.....

so much for martin luther's dream.....

Would you please stop as though you're carrying some sort of torch for MLK's dream? You have already proven yourself- very definitively - as being as out of touch w/ the black experience, and as pathetically ignorant, as the worst of the KKK.

Just put it to rest. You're an idiot.

i will not do anything for racist scum like you. you have no idea my life experiences, yet, you bash my "experience" with the "black experience". you're a racist tool. i've dealt with assholes like you before, both black and white. your ignorance and hate cloud your judgement. if i were petty like you, i would put up my "experience" with the "black experience" to yours anyday. you're a lame liberal trying to own the black experience.

i would pity you, but you're just too much of a jerk.

Cool it w/ the melodrama. I'm not the scum here - I have no hate in my heart for anyone. I'm the one who gets Sammy - I understand where he's coming from. You're the one who doesn't. You're the one who thinks there is no difference at all between him & some white guy voting for a white guy because he's white, even though whites have broken all barriers. It's non-sensical.

As for my own experience, I have logged a lot of years in the inner city, living & working with all walks of life, colors, religions, et al. I know your view would get laughed out of a lot of places, because it is so completely blind to what African-Americans have had to live with their entire lives, and hear about in the lives of their elders. You have no idea - you are utterly clueless.

i almost feel sad for you. "sammy"....do you feel that makes your "black experience" more rich? you're a wannabe tool trying to understand something you likely never will. i'm not suprised you felt the need to trot out your "black experience", you're insecure and it shows. further, it is quite sad. you don't know me, yet you judge me.....based on what you said above, you are dead wrong to claim you know more than me. what is this, some kind of competition to see which white guy has more "black" experience? you're a tool.

you're a typical elitest liberal prick who thinks they understand blacks more than anyone else who isn't black. the fact you even make that claim should give you serious pause. you are scum. you demean those with dark skin by your very words.

Absolutely nothing but personal attacks here. I think you know you're in the wrong on this one, but just can't admit it.

I brought it up because I've heard it - a lot of it. But I also said I have zero comprehension of the black experience - because I'm not black. I don't think anyone who didn't grow up & live w/ that experience can understand it.

You certainly can't. The shite you say on this topic is mesmerizing. The equivalency you try to create is pure desperation, mixed w/ a couple of heaping tablespoons of ignorance.

Samuel L. Jackson: ‘I Voted for Barack Because He Was Black’

I voted for Barack because he was black. ’Cuz that’s why other folks vote for other people — because they look like them,” Jackson said. “That’s American politics, pure and simple. [Obama’s] message didn’t mean sh-t to me. In the end, he’s a politician. I just hoped he would do some of what he said he was gonna do.

According to the New York Post, the “Pulp Fiction” legend repeatedly dropped the N-word during his cover story interview.

“When it comes down to it, they wouldn’t have elected a [bleep],” Jackson said. “Because, what’s a [bleep]? A [bleep] is scary. Obama ain’t scary at all. [Bleeps] don’t have beers at the White House. [Bleeps] don’t let some white dude, while you in the middle of a speech, call [him] a liar” — an apparent reference to Rep. Joe Wilson’s “You lie!” outburst during Obama’s health care address to a joint session of Congress in 2009.

and your point?

i suspect that he is not the only person to do so, i liked obama's program better than his competition's programs - but i liked hillary and her program better

yep....no personal attacks here....

meltdown on aisle 9

the very fact you claimed to have ZERO black experience, yet at the same time, claim to have gazzilion more experience than me, shows you're an elitest hack. you don't know me at all. yet, you think you have more "black experience" than i do.

fucking hilarious.

have you ever dated a black person? been intimate? or do you just shake their hand and then wash yourself afterwards?

LOL

Well, since you're asking, yeah. Pretty irrelevant, though. I don't care if you've been intimate, or have "tons of black friends," or whatever it is that you think you have (which is even more hilarious after chastising me for my "insecurity.") I'm not judging you by these things, as you've stated.

I'm judging you by your words on this thread, which is all any of us have to go on. Reading them, I'm frankly shocked that you have even known any black people, much less read any history. You're ignorant, and pretty stupid.

why do you lie so much? you're not judging me....yet...you put me down because i don't have the same amount of black experience you have. you said it multiple times.....yet....you now claim you're not judging me....and now when it comes down to it....it doesn't really matter if you have black friends or experience. do you know how insane you sound?

ah....yes....you're not judging me...but now you're judging (shocked i ever known a black person) whether i've known a single black person.

you are scum onceler.

Wow - what a nonsensical post. Talk about meltdowns.

I said I was judging you, and I am - by your incredible ignorance on this thread, and in proclaiming that what Jackson did = a white guy voting for a white guy because he's white.

It still amazes me, quite frankly. So yeah, I'm judging that.

right...the double standard dungheap thing....

ok for a black guy.....not for a white guy

that is just great for america. black people should vote for a black candidate solely because they are black. what a nutso world you and dung live in. your ilk keep racism alive in this country.

Actually, stupid for a white.guy, understandable for a black guy and racist for neither. I never opined on how a black person "should" vote and would never be so presumptuous.

That's what you're doing and apparently you think black folk should get over the whole history of racial oppression already.

With the outpouring of hate, disrespect and "shade" shown to our first black president, this gay black liberal Democrat, ain't getting over the history of racial oppression, any time soon. And you can take that to the bank. The nerve of some people, suggesting that I or any other black person, should be over it, by now. They don't talk to their mothers or fathers like that....they better not talk to me like that. It's that arrogance borne of "white privilege" that gets me hotter than a wet hen. It's a good thing I don't own a gun. I'd be dead or in prison for life. And happy.
